- The Indianapolis Colts are 3-point home favorites over the Tennessee Titans in a key AFC South game slated for Sunday, October 31
- Sunday Betting Record: 0-0 ML; 2-5 ATS; 0-1 O/U; -2.72 units
- Tennessee is 3-1 straight up over the club’s past four trips to Indianapolis
In Indianapolis, the Colts are willing to label Sunday’s game with the Tennessee Titans as a must-win scenario. Checking the AFC South standings, it’s difficult to debate that sentiment.
Tennessee tops the division with a 5-2 slate. The Colts are second in the AFC South at 3-4. A loss Sunday would leave them three games back, and that would be quite a hill to climb over the remaining nine games of the season.
Perhaps that factor, coupled with Indy’s home-field advantage, explains why oddsmakers are leaning solidly toward the Colts in this game. Indianapolis is set as a 3-point favorite. The Colts are 1-0 against the spread as the home chalk this season. Meanwhile, the Titans are 1-0 as a road underdog during the 2021 campaign.

Is all of #Titans twitter new fans?? Titans have swept the Colts twice in 20+ years. They beat the Titans w/ Curtis Painter & Dan Orlovsky at QB.
Can the Titans win? Well of course, but the overconfidence I'm seeing is perplexing to me lol
We've seen this movie before folks…

Colts vs Titans Injury Report
The Colts are about as healthy as they’ve been since the season began as they prepare to face the Titans. On offense, wide receiver TY Hilton (quadriceps) and right tackle Braden Smith (foot) are listed as questionable. Defensively, right cornerback Xavier Rhodes (calf, questionable) is the only starter showing up on the injury report.
A hopeful note for the Colts is that all three of these players practised on Friday.
All the Colts’ main pieces who’ve been injured of late — T.Y. Hilton, Braden Smith, Rock Ya-Sin, Xavier Rhodes, Kemoko Turay — are practicing again today. This team will be as healthy as it’s been all season Sunday vs. the Titans.

The injury situation on offense is a bit more concerning for the Titans. Wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) and fullback Khari Blasingame (knee) are out.
Defensively, both nose tackle Teair Tart (groin) and right inside linebacker Rashaan Evans (quadriceps) are down as questionable.
Colts vs Titans Trends
Since 2018, the Indianapolis defense has allowed a 100-yard rusher in only four of 55 games. All four of them were named Derrick Henry.
The Titans’ power runner is leading the NFL in rushing yardage (869), rushing touchdowns (869), attempts (191) and yards per game (124.1).
Since Matt Eberflus took over as Colts DC in 2018, Indy’s defense has only allowed a 100-yard rusher four times:

👑: Derrick Henry (2020, 103 yards)

In fact, the outcome in the betting odds on this contest could come down to which team is able to establish the run. Colts back Jonathan Taylor is second in the NFL in rushing yards, albeit at a distant 579.
Taylor does own a season-best longest run of the NFL season, a scamper of 83 yards.
Colts vs Titans Prediction
The Colts are 3-1 since an 0-3 start. But they’re 0-3 against teams with winning records. That includes a 25-16 loss at Tennesse in Week 3.
The bigger #Titans news isn’t who’s OUT vs the Colts, it’s who’s playing.
✅Front 4-Landry, Autry & Dupree will play. 4-man pass rush 💪🏼
✅Starting Oline-Lewan & Saffold will play. Run & pass blocking 📈
✅Starting Safeties-Hooker back is HUGE. Byard+Hooker🔥

Since moving to Tennessee, the Titans have swept the season series with the Colts twice – in 2002 and 2017. The Titans hold some impressive notches on their resume this season. They’ve already beaten the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs, both teams that played in last season’s AFC Championship Game.
Pick: Tennessee Titans +3 (-115).
