Prop #1: Christian Kirk Receiving Yards – O/U 40.5 Yards

Last week the Vikings allowed Joe Burrow to complete 20 of 27 passes. The Bengals’ top receiver in Week 1, Ja’Marr Chase pulled down five of his seven targets for 101 yards. Next in line was Tee Higgins who caught four of five passes for 58 yards and a TD.

In Arizona’s 38-13 win over Tennessee last week, DeAndre Hopkins was targeted eight times by Kyler Murray and finished with six catches for 83 yards and two TDs. Arizona’s second-leading receiver from Week 1 was Christian Kirk who went a perfect 5/5 for 70 yards and two TDs of his own.

Even the third and fourth leading receivers for Arizona, Rondale Moore and AJ Green, finished with 68 and 43 yards receiving respectively.

You don’t want to take too much away from Week 1. And the Titans’ defense was horrible last season and doesn’t look improved after one week this season either. The Vikings’ defense should be a step up, but if the Cards’ offense can look anything like it did in Week 1 in their home opener Sunday, there should be plenty of catches to go around for Cardinals receivers.

If that’s the case Christian Kirk should be a factor again and if he can pull down four or five catches, he’ll likely go over the 40.5 total set on his receiving yards at Unibet.

Pick: Christian Kirk Over 40.5 Receiving Yards (-113)

Prop #2: Cardinals 1st Half Points – O/U 13.5

Minnesota found itself down 14-7 at the half last week to away to Cincinnati. Arizona, on the road themselves, scored ten points alone in the first quarter in Week 1 against the Titans. By half-time, they had scored two more touchdowns and led 24-6, on their way to a 38-13 win.

Only one team scored more points than the Cardinals did in Week 1. That was San Fran in a 41-33 win over Detroit.

Arizona’s 24 first-half points were the third-highest points scored in the first half in Week 1.

Backing Arizona Over 13.5 first-half points at Unibet comes in at -122 odds. The Under is priced at -112.

Cincinnati’s offense is not one of the league’s most prolific. And Joe Burrow was still able to find success despite making a return from ACL surgery on his knee.

The Cardinals, last year’s 14th ranked offense in PPG are certainly capable of scoring 14 points or more in the first half.

Pick: Arizona Over 13.5 1st Half Points (-122)

Prop #3: Adam Thielen to Score a Touchdown

The total on this game is in the 50s, currently set at 50.5, so points are to be expected. As poor as Minnesota looked in Week 1, they also shot themselves in the foot with 12 penalties for 116 yards, many of those coming on the offensive side of the ball.

When it was all said and done, Vikings’ QB Kirk Cousins was 36/49 with two touchdowns. Both of those TDs went to number one receiver Adam Thielen. Thielen was targeted ten times and made nine receptions for 92 yards. Thielen was one of 18 players to be targeted in double digits during Week 1.

Maxx Williams (ARZ) +3500 +600
Kirk Cousins (MIN) +4000 +750
Christopher Herndon (MIN) +5500 +850

Thielen has the third-most receiving touchdowns of any player since 2018. He finished last season with at least one TD in five of his final seven games and finished with 14 on the year.

Overall he’s now found the endzone nine times in his past eight games. He’s always a threat to score for Minnesota and is a good bet to do so in Week 2 with odds of +110 at Unibet.

Pick: Adam Thielen to Score a TD (+110)
