NFL Week 6 Upset Picks

By the sheer nature of making NFL underdog picks, you’re not always taking good teams. And the Bears (1-4), Patriots (1-4) and Chargers (2-2) generally fall into that category. But two of the three are playing at home and none are playing against opponents that are much better than they are. So let’s back these three for our NFL Week 6 upset picks.

NFL Upset Picks 1: Minnesota vs Chicago

It’s 1-4 versus 1-4 here in the NFC North. You can’t really trust either team to cover a spread either as both are 1-3-1 ATS.

The Bears sit fourth in the division and have given up more points than the Vikings on defense, but have scored more on offense.

This game looks to have some wind concerns that could temper what would ordinarily look like a wide-open game. That would have to favor the Bears and Justin Fields who rank 10th in rushing yards per game.

The Vikes throw the ball the most of any team but are down the best WR in the league with Justin Jefferson on IR. They run the ball the least. If this one gets scrappy and weather slows down the passing games, I give the edge to Chicago.

NFL Upset Picks: Chicago Bears (+130)

NFL Upset Picks 2: New England vs Las Vegas

It’s hard to get excited about backing either of these teams. The Pats are 1-4, have lost by a combined score of 72-3 in the past two weeks and the 55 points they’ve scored are a league-low.

At 2-3 the Raiders aren’t much better but are at least coming off of a win, 17-13 over the Packers.

This game just looks like a stone-cold Under when you consider the Patriots average 11.0 PPG (32nd) and the Raiders just 15.8 (29th).

This looks like it could come down to a field goal. And as the underdog with their stock as low as it can go, it may just be the right time to jump on the Patriots for one week against a winnable opponent for your NFL Week 6 upset picks.

NFL Upset Picks: New England Patriots (+130)

NFL Upset Picks 3: Dallas vs Los Angeles

The Chargers are known for finding creative ways to lose games and even as the “home” team on MNF, it’s likely the Cowboys will have more fans at SoFi.

Well, they may make that trip out to LA for no reason. Yes, theoretically Dallas should be able to throw all over the Chargers’ 32nd ranked passing defense. But, maybe not. Dak Prescott is 25th in yards per pass and has fewer passing yards than Jordan Love and Desmond Ridder.

The Cardinals have one win on the year and that came over Dallas. Otherwise Dallas has beaten up on the Giants, Jets and Patriots, who are a combined 4-11. Then they got curb stomped by the 49ers 42-10 on SNF.

Justin Herbert operates an offense that is averaging 28,3 PPG, is expected to get Austin Ekeler back from injury and is fresh coming off their bye week. The Chargers look like live dogs for NFL underdog picks on Monday.

NFL Upset Picks: Los Angeles Chargers (+110)
