The Colorado Avalanche will try to take a commanding 3-1 series lead they visit the Seattle Kraken in Game 4 of their opening-round playoff series.

Colorado blew a two-goal lead but came back to score six times in all against Seattle on Saturday. The 6-4 win put them up two games to one versus the Kraken.

Online sportsbooks offer Colorado as solid favorites in Monday’s NHL odds, and now -650 for the overall series.

Kraken vs Avalanche Betting Splits

Yes, Colorado gets the tilt in Game 4 of the NHL betting trends. The champions see bettors believing in them one more.

As of Sunday night, 85% of the moneyline bets are backing the Avalanche, while the over rose to 80%. Expect a few shifts between now and the opening face-off as more ATS numbers roll in.

Colorado vs Seattle NHL Betting News

The Avalanche saw Valeri Nichushkin leave Seattle over the weekend and his status for Monday is up in the air. Daniel Helm currently is day-to-day but could play in Game 4.

Colorado looks about as healthy as it can be aside from the Nichushkin news.

Andre Burakovsky remains out for Seattle, but Daniel Sprong has played in the last two games.

Colorado carries more solid numbers for the Stanley Cup odds at +600 and conference numbers now at +220.

Avalanche vs Kraken Analysis

Both goaltenders were not at their finest in Game 3. Colorado jumped out to a 3-1 lead early in the second period. Then, Seattle roared back with two goals to tie the game. After that, the Avalanche struck back with three third-period goals led by Mikko Rantanen and Nathan MacKinnon. By the time Seattle answered, only seconds remained in the contest.

For the first time this season, Colorado figured out Philipp Grubauer and the Kraken. It looked like the Avalanche of last year’s playoffs where they scored then tacked on one or two more goals.

Colorado controlled most of the final two periods and had 11 of the 17 high-danger chances. That set up the two goals in 88 seconds which changed the complexion of the game and maybe the series.

Bluntly, an angry Nathan Mackinnon is a dangerous MacKinnon. He and Rantanen have been difference makers all series long. Seattle does not seem to have a true answer for the duo.

So, like we said, Seattle finally got blitzed by Colorado. It seemed bound to occur at some juncture. The question becomes how does Seattle cope. Do they fire back or was Game 3 the turning point in the entire series?

Seattle comes in at a crossroads. So, do they tie the series Monday night or does Colorado get a chance to go home and clinch?

Avalanche vs Kraken Prediction

What adjustments can Seattle make on Monday night? Honestly, they did get four pucks past Alexandar Georgiev and that still was not enough. Basically, when Colorado’s top players assert themselves, Seattle cannot keep up.

The one thing Seattle must do is stay out of the penalty box and keep testing Georgiev. Short of Game 2, the 40-game winner this year has looked kind of average in this series. At some point, he has to stand tall again.

Kraken vs Avalanche Game 4 Same-Game Parlay

Pick Odds
Over 6.5 Goals +115
1st Period Over 1.5 Goals -130
Same-Game Parlay Odds +165

Georgiev and Grubauer will try to rebound but it seems enough goals should be scored early and late as both teams try to make more of an offensive statement. Scoring chances have been there all series long.

Expect an entertaining affair and enough goals as both teams should score at least three goals each on Monday night.

Pick: Same-Game Parlay (+165)
