Blackhawks vs Blue Jackets Tuesday NHL Odds and Betting Trends

The Blackhawks are completing a three-game road trip. Chicago halted an 0-3-3 skid with a 2-1 win on Saturday at Vegas over the Golden Knights. Chicago is an even better 6-0 SU in the six games between the two teams played in Columbus.

Blackhawks vs Blue Jackets Recent Results

4/10/2021 Columbus 3 Chicago 4 CHI CBJ Over

Columbus halted a three-game losing streak with a 4-3 win on Saturday over New Jersey. The Blue Jackets are just 4-10-1 over the past 15 games.

Three of the last five Chicago-Columbus games went to overtime or a shootout. Columbus is 7-0-1 in OT/SO this season. The Blue Jackets rank second in the NHL in OT/SO wins and first in winning percentage (.875). That being said, we suggest a play on Chicago moneyline at -110 in the Blackhawks vs Blue Jackets odds.

Pick: Chicago Blackhawks ML (-110)

Avalanche vs Predators Pick and Prediction

Nashville’s hot streak includes a 5-2 drubbing of the Avalanche at Bridgestone Arena on December 16. That outcome brought a halt to Colorado’s four-game winning streak over Nashville, as well as the Avs four-game run of victories at Nashville. However, the Avalanche are still road favorites in the Tuesday NHL odds.

During their hot streak, the Predators are second in the NHL goals against per game (2.07), tied for seventh in power play percentage (30 percent), and eighth in shots against per game (30.2). Filip Forsberg’s 12 goals since November 30 are the most among NHL players in that time frame.

Avalanche vs Predators Recent Results

Date Home-Away Moneyline Puck Line Over/Under
2/23/2019 Nashville 0 Colorado 5 COL COL Under
11/7/2019 Colorado 9 Nashville 4 COL COL Over
2/29/2020 Nashville 2 Colorado 3 COL CAR Under
11/27/2021 Colorado 6 Nashville 2 COL COL Over
12/16/2021 Nashville 5 Colorado 2 NAS NAS Over

The Avalanche will be coming to Nashville after playing Monday against the Seattle Kraken. Colorado will be without captain Gabriel Landeskog. He entered COVID-19 protocol on Monday. Landeskog (4-3-7) and Nashville goalie Juuse Saros (3-0, 2.00 GAA, .954 save percentage were named Monday the NHL’s top two stars of the week.

Colorado was also carrying a hot hand entering play on Monday. The Avs had won four straight, were 9-1-0 in their last 10 games, and 17-3-1 over their last 21 contests. Colorado is the highest scoring team in the NHL, averaging 4.32 goals per game. Six different Avalanche players have 10+ goals this year, the most double-digit scorers of any NHL club.

We suggest a play on the Predators moneyline as home underdogs. With how hot they’ve been, we’re going to ride the hot hand in this Avalanche vs Predators matchup.

Pick: Nashville Predators ML (+135)
