Applying Heat to Ice Cube

Two images posted by Ice Cube on Twitter this week led to accusations of anti-semitism being made against him. One image depicted the Star of David, the symbol of the Jewish community. Inside the six-pointed star was an outlined black cube.

The rapper accompanied that post with a series of images depicting the Black Cube of Saturn. Believers consider this to be a symbol of the occult, saying it’s representing evil, darkness, war and conflict.

The second image causing controversy displays a group of well-dressed white men playing Monopoly. The game board is resting on the backs of a gathering of black men. The cartoon is accompanied by the words, “All we have to do is stand up and their little game is over.”

Ice Cube has never been one to shy away from controversy from his days as a rapper with NWA, or during his film career.

While people are launching plenty of criticism his way regarding these posts, Twitter is offering no indication that they intend to try and censure him in any manner.

Pick: No suspension of Ice Cube Twitter account (-1200)

No Hack Here

The star of Friday After Next found himself quickly pointing out that hackers were not controlling his Twitter feed.

“This is CUBE,” he tweeted. “My account has not been hacked. I speak for no organization. I only speak for the meek people of thee earth. We will not expect crumbles from your table. We have (the) power of almighty God backing us all over the earth. NO MORE TALKING. Repent.”

Pick: No to Ice Cube saying his Twitter account’s been hacked (-600)

Conspiracy Theory Controversy

Another tweet from the BIG3 founder that stirred the masses was a retweet of a conspiracy theory from an alleged Russian bot site.

It depicts Egyptian statues with their noses shot off. The post is claiming that this act was committed by Europeans as an indication of dominance.

However, CNN reported that in fact, archeologists have determined that the defacing of statues dated back to the beginning of Egyptian history.

Here’s where Ice Cube could get himself in trouble. If he’s tweeting provably false information, Twitter’s only option might be labeling his posts.

Pick: Yes to labeling of Ice Cube’s tweets (+200)
