You won’t find a tougher place to play in the National Football League than Seattle’s CenturyLink Field. Over the last two seasons, head coach Pete Carroll has led his Seahawks to an amazing 15-1 record. Now the talented squad is ready to defend its Super Bowl title.

Said Carroll, “We’ve all been waiting to get this thing started.”

It doesn’t appear Seattle’s formula for success – a strong running game and a physical defense – has changed from last season. Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy said he’s telling his team not to overlook Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

McCarthy said, “I think you have to be very impressed with their offense. On Russell Wilson and their ability to stay in favorable down and distance and keep the mix of the run and the pass, they’ve always been outstanding running the football, but they look like they’re a lot more balanced now.”

Added Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers, “They play with a lot of confidence, have a little swagger about them, and it’s a tough place to play.”

That’s why even though the Packers are healthy – especially on defense – opening the season in Seattle is quite the challenge. However, speaking of defenses, there’s good reason to believe this could be a game decided by field goals, which makes the under appealing.
