  • Below are the Kwik Trip 250 odds and betting trends ahead of Sunday afternoon’s race

NASCAR goes up to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, for race number 18 of the 2022 season. The race comes from Road America. The 4.048-mile road course certainly is something else. Kyle Larson is co-favored this week with Kyle Busch at +800 odds in the NASCAR Enjoy Illinois 300 odds. Can Ross Chastain crash the Hendricks/Gibbs battle  this week and not into other Joe Gibbs’ racers.

This is one week after the Ally 400, where Chase Elliott won by not pitting during the last caution. He was able to hold off the Toyota’s during the final laps en route to victory.

Let’s dive into these Kwik Trip 250 odds and figure out which drivers are the best bets.

Chase Elliott is a Favorite at Road America BUT…

Elliott is a solid favorite according to Barstool at +500 for this week’s road course at Elkhart Lake. He won the inaugural race last year while leading 24 of the 62 laps. The Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver dominated when it counted. Elliott took over for William Byron, who led 15 laps from the pole.

Right now, Elliott stands as a favorite everywhere else too and is just +450 at Caesars. Teammate Kyle Larson is listed at +500. Some shorter odds exist on Caesars Sportsbook, as even Kyle Busch is +1000 (+1300 at Barstool). Even Ross Chastain is at +700 on Caesars while +850 on Barstool. There is value.

Now, what occurs next Sunday afternoon in Wisconsin?

The idea is that Hendrick Motorsports won at Nashville again last week. Just think that despite the Toyota dominance, Elliott and their pit crew gambled to get the win.

The race is 62 laps. This is truly a good race for the road course drivers and the Next-Gen car.

Can Kyle Busch Win at Road America?

Sports bettors have seen Kyle Busch. rise in the top-ten all season. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver still lurks in the NASCAR Cup Series odds and is fifth in the race odds. Busch is fourth in points just 47 behind Chase Elliott. Furthermore, though Larson and Elliott are rightful favorites, Busch may have problems at pulling a victory off.

Now, could the race come down cautions and pit strategy? Yes, That may be one of Busch’s only way to contend on Sunday afternoon.

Kwik Trip 250 Predictions & Picks

This 4.048-mile track will be a bit of a showcase for the Next-Gen car on Sunday.

The weather expects to be pleasant and sunny on Sunday with temperatures rising well into the 80s. The last thing to keep an eye on is drivers like Ross Chastain and William Byron. Their ability to drive fast on the road should not be a surprise. Also, is Kevin Harvick getting closer and closer to his first win of the season?

Finally, for top-ten picks, there are Tyler Reddick and Kurt Busch as well. There will be more picks closer to Sunday’s race after qualifying on Saturday. Daniel Suarez will again be fast too. The big question remains can Toyota and Ford keep up with Chevy?

The stage format is 14-15-33 for laps.

Here are our best bets:

  • Top Pick: William Byron to Win (+2500)
  • Other Contenders: Kyle Larson (+700), Chase Elliott (+500), Ross Chastain (+850)
  • More shots:  Kevin Harvick (+2500 plus top-ten alert), Tyler Reddick (+2200), Chris Buescher (+3000)
