It’s Week 16 of the Belarus Premier League this weekend, with things at the top quite tight after BATE’s shocking home defeat by Dinamo Minsk. While they still lead the way, they are being pushed hard by Shakhtar who themselves missed a chance to close the gap at the weekend when they could only draw with FC Minsk.
Wwins for Neman, Torpedo, and Energetyk have made things very interesting. See the odds for all matches this weekend in the following table.

All odds taken July 2
Pick 1: Smolevichi-STI vs Dinamo Brest
Smolevichi’s surprise 2-1 win over Slutsk has offered light at the end of the tunnel as they look to escape the relegation zone. They are now just four points behind 14th-placed FC Minsk.
Their problem has been in defense where they simply concede too many goals, and in their last five games they have conceded eight and had only one clean sheet. But, on a positive note, their home form has improved and they are unbeaten in their last two home league games.
After four consecutive wins, Dynamo were surprisingly beaten by Neman last weekend, putting a stop to their charge up the table, but over the last month their form has generally been good. Dinamo are still in plus money for this one, so the value is definitely with the away win.
Pick: Dynamo Brest to win (+135)
Pick 2: BATE vs Energetyk-BGU
League leaders BATE will be hoping to bounce back after a shocking 2-0 defeat last weekend by Dinamo Minsk. In their previous six games, they had scored ten goals and looked set to pull away from the chasing pack, but Dinamo stopped them in their tracks.
Oddly for BATE, their home form has faltered of late and they come into this having won neither of their last two home games.
By contrast, Energetyk head into this one off the back of an exhilarating 5-0 Premier League win over Slavia Mozyr – their first win in five. Until last weekend, goals had been a little hard to come by for The Students, but that win will have given the confidence a huge boost.
So much so, the +348 for the draw could be worthy of consideration for those who like to speculate.
Pick: BATE and Energetyk to draw (+348)
Pick 3: Neman Grodno vs Isloch
Neman’s 1-0 win over Dinamo Brest last weekend took them up to third, now just four points adrift of leaders BATE. They are the league’s form team, having won five on the spin, scoring nine and conceding just one in the process. Their home form has also been excellent and are undefeated in their last three.
Isloch also come into this after a win – 2-0 over lowly Gorodeya – but two wins in five reflects what has been an inconsistent season for them. In their last six, they have scored just seven goals and until they can hit the net on a more consistent basis, they will not progress beyond mid-table.
With Neman in such scintillating form, the fact they are in plus money makes this one, for me, a no-brainer.
Pick: Neman to win (+131)
