  • Currently, the favorites are Manchester United with moneyline odds of -159

In the Premier League’s 32nd round of fixtures, a game to highlight is Manchester United traveling to Brighton on the south shores of England. The match might be lopsided on paper, but both of these squads have performed admirably since the restart. The Seagulls have exceeded their expectations and will be looking to reach new heights in the table to finish the year.

Meanwhile, Manchester United under former super-sub Ole Gunnar Solskjær, are fighting dramatically for a Champions League spot. Of course, due to Manchester City’s ongoing financial fair play allegations, Manchester United could achieve a spot in Europe’s biggest competition by just landing one spot outside the top four.

Brighton Continue to Scrap Against Big Clubs

Small, measly Brighton. They may not be regarded as one of England’s big clubs per se, however, their ability to go toe-to-toe with some of England’s best is remarkable. Graham Potter’s side did the double on Arsenal this year, winning one in remarkable fashion in their first game back. A draw against third-placed Leicester on the 23rd of June, will also be having Manchester United wonder if they should be more worried come Tuesday night.

French Forward Neal Maupay has been brilliant this season with nine goals to his name, and will surely look to split the Manchester United defense if he gets a chance to do so. Also, believe it or not, recent history has these two in a deadlock. Their last four matches have been split with two wins on each side and an aggregated score of 7-6 favoring the Red Devils.

Manchester United Are on Winning Form

Brighton’s recent success should be recognized. But Manchester United with Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes is simply frightening. Since their draw at Spurs, they have defeated Sheffield and Norwich, and players like Anthony Martial have seriously impressed. Sheffield’s defense is no joke, and United tore them to shreds; will Lewis Dunk and Dan Burn be up to the task?

It is tough to tell if Neal Maupay will bother their defense, but it is important to note that Manchester United has been prone to mistakes recently. De Gea is simply not the keeper he used to be which could point to a higher scoreline, especially since the reverse fixture held five goals.

Best Bet

With that being said, the best bet for this match is to go with the ‘Over’ at 2, 2 1/2 goals with odds of -119. The odds are still valuable, and the most likely to take place. With both of these sides performing well, it is hard to say that neither will put a couple in the back of the net. Also, given the offensive threats on both sides and their recent form, it could truly be an enthralling game. Especially with the circumstances of relegation and European qualification at stake.

My Pick: Over 2, 2 1/2 Goals (-119)
