Juventus host Napoli on Sunday in a match which suddenly has major implications for the top four race in Serie A. Juve saw their 15-point deduction get temporarily undone in the week, elevating them to third in the table ahead of Roma and Milan.
Napoli were knocked out of the Champions League in dramatic circumstances. They are 14 points clear at the top of table, and as has been reflected in Serie A odds, they have had the title all but sewn up for several months. This match still has significance, however, with the club from Naples keen to get back on track after winning just one of their last five in all competitions.
Juventus narrowly got past Sporting in the Europa League on Thursday to book a semi-final meeting with Sevilla.

Napoli are +160 favorites for Sunday’s showdown in Turin. That price carries a 38.5% implied probability. Juventus are at +190, making them just slight dogs with an implied probability of 34.5%. The over/under is set at 2.5 for this fixture. Bookies are leaning heavily towards the under, however, with a short price of -160 on under 2.5 goals. The over comes in at +130.
With little to choose between the sides on the moneyline, the spread isn’t much of a factor for most punters. Napoli -1 is out at +460, while Juventus +1 is -220.
Juventus vs Napoli Preview
Napoli hammered Juventus 5-1 earlier this season. They haven’t won away to Juve since 2018, however, and this match comes in difficult circumstances for the away side after they missed countless opportunities at home to Milan on Tuesday night. Hopes of a historic Champions League run were brought to an end, and the remainder of this league campaign feels like a formality. Defeat at the San Siro in the first leg brought an end to a spectacular run of away form for Gli Azzurri. Prior to that loss, they had won eight consecutive road matches.
Juventus have scored just four goals in their last five matches in all competitions. They have won just once in that period. It was nervy at points, but they got the job done in Lisbon on Thursday. Max Allegri’s side have suffered consecutive league defeats, though, and their performance to Sassuolo last weekend was arguably their worst of the season.

Neither of these teams enter this match in the best form. Napoli have had several setbacks of late, and could take their foot off the gas as they cruise towards a first league title since 1989-90.
Juventus will be desperate to qualify for the Champions League. The points deduction being reversed should reinvigorate their league campaign. At the same time, their attack has hardly been potent recently, and they are at a considerable rest disadvantage after playing in Portugal on Thursday.

Despite Napoli’s gaudy attacking numbers for the season, this looks set to be a relatively low-scoring match. The league leaders have scored just three goals in their last five matches. Juventus will see a draw as a decent result given their limited time to prepare and their sizeable advantage over the Milan clubs.
Under 3.5 goals has cashed in the last three meetings between these sides in Turin.
