Paris Saint-Germain could be in the mood to score freely against Lyon when Ligue1’s two most powerful teams meet in the semifinal of the Coupe de France on Wednesday.
PSG have hit the target four times in each of their last four league fixtures and also put six past Dijon in the previous round of the cup.

The Parisians’ strength and super-star quality coupled with their recent goal-scoring form makes them obvious favorites.
They have won the trophy in four of the past five seasons but suffered a surprise defeat on penalties by Rennes in last year’s final.

Following a prior 1-1 draw against Strasbourg and then a subsequent 2-0 away win at Metz, they are undefeated in three league matches.
However, PSG were 4-2 winners when they met Lyon at the Parc Des Princes on February 9.
The team from the capital were also 1-0 winners at Lyon in Ligue1 in September.
Goals Galore in Four-Game Spree
The 4-2 win against Lyon marked the beginning of a spell of prolific goal-scoring from PSG.

Marseille were beaten 1-0 at the quarterfinal stage.
Poor League Form
However, Lyon’s league form has been disappointing until the recent up-turn.
They were as low as 11th place in mid-February.
Lyon were eliminated at the semifinal stage last season when they suffered a 3-2 home defeat by Rennes.

PSG were last beaten in domestic competition on November 1 when they went down 2-1 at Dijon.
