United on a Charge
Manchester United’s recent run of fine form has seen them delay Manchester City’s coronation as EPL champions, with their comeback win at Aston Villa on Sunday, coupled with City’s surprise home defeat by Chelsea on Saturday, closing the gap at the top to ten points. It is still City’s title to lose – they only need one more win from their final three games to clinch it – but they have been made to work hard by United to get over the line.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men already have a Europa Cup final against Villarreal to look forward to, but were excellent in the second half at Villa Park on Sunday to overcome a 1-0 halftime deficit. Second-half goals from Bruno Fernandes (from the penalty spot), Mason Greenwood, and Edinson Cavani were enough, in the end, to give United a comfortable victory and ensure they kept the pressure on their City neighbors.
Cavani Brings Goals and Joy to Old Trafford
More good news for United is expected to follow in the next 24-hours, with the impending announcement of a one-year contract extension for Cavani, with the 35-year-old Uruguayan proving a big hit in Manchester this season. This will further enhance an already buoyant mood at Old Trafford with United finding some as their best form as the season draws to a close.

Foxes in a Tricky Place
For Leicester, the end of the season is proving rather more problematic than it is for United with their battle for the fourth and final Champions League place looking likely to go down to the final couple of games. It should not have come to this for Brendan Rodgers’ men who have been in the top four almost all of the season but, like in 2019-20, they have hit a poor run of form at the worst possible time.

Luckily for the Foxes, West Ham – their closest rivals for that ECL spot – also slipped up at the weekend when they were beaten at home by Everton, and so Leicester’s cushion between them and fifth place remains at five points but ominously, Liverpool in sixth are six points behind them but have a game in hand. At the moment, the Foxes’ European destiny is in their own hands, but defeat at Old Trafford could well leave the door ajar for either the Hammers or Liverpool.
Rodgers has several issues to contend with on the pitch, mainly form-related, but off the field things also appear unsettled at the King Power Stadium, with rumors circulating of a fallout between the Leicester boss and his key midfielder, James Maddison.

Manchester United vs Leicester City Best Bets
With United on such a roll, it really is difficult to see past the home win here, especially with things starting to look strained for the Foxes. Even prior to their recent 4-2 home defeat by lowly Newcastle, Rodgers’ men had drawn 0-0 with 10-man Southampton and so confidence and belief is low. Therefore, on that basis, with United still in plus money, the home win looks excellent value.
Pick: Man Utd to win (+143) / Cavani first goalscorer (+525)
