FC Cincinnati vs Inter Miami Prediction
Cincinnati will be the fresher of the two sides when they host Inter Miami on Sunday at 4:00 pm EST in MLS Week 5.
FCC were off last weekend and also didn’t play during the midweek slate of games. The time off can only benefit Jaap Stam’s side who have won just four of 25 games since he took over. In 2021 they are one of just two teams (Chicago) who are still winless at 0-1-2 (WDL), with a goal-differential of -8 ranking worst in the league.
Miami played on Sunday (1-1 draw with Atlanta) and on Wednesday, a 2-0 loss to Montreal.
There’s been one meeting between these sides in their short history and that resulted in a 2-1 Miami win at home last season.

Cincinatti is opening their new stadium, TQL Stadium, so should have some added motivation on top of looking to collect their first three points of the year. Inter Miami have played 26 games in their short MLS history and have only kept a clean sheet on four occasions.
In no way can I trust Cincinnati to win or keep a clean sheet, but I think they could be good value to at least contribute to the scoresheet, while of course, conceding at least once on their own.
Pick: Both Teams to Score (-148)
DC United vs Orlando City Prediction
It’s a short turnaround for DC United as they were the lone game on Thursday night at home to Chicago where they collected their first three points of the season, defeating the Fire 1-0.
With no midweek game, Oscar Pareja’s Orlando City should be fresh and eager to take on DC at 8:00 pm EST Sunday in MLS Week 5.
Orlando’s opening matches have all mostly been close. They began with 0-0 and 1-1 draws to Atlanta and SKC respectively, before a convincing 3-0 home win over Cincinnati. Then last week it was a share of the of the points once again in a 1-1 draw with fellow Eastern Conference contender New York City FC.
First start, first clean sheet.

The standings are a bit deceiving right now with DC ahead of but level on points (six) with Orlando. However, DC has a -4 goal-differential and has played one extra game. Orlando may only have one win, but they’ve conceded only twice this season. DC though, has had some unfortunate luck, having giving up three own goals already in just five games.
These teams didn’t meet in last year’s abbreviated season unless you count a preseason game (1-0 DC). In 2019 DC won 2-1 and 1-0 and have now won each of the past three regular season meetings.
Pick: Orlando City win (+128)
Seattle Sounders vs LAFC Prediction
These Western Conference contenders have gotten off to very different starts to the 2021 season. They’ll meet at 9:30 pm EST Sunday night to close out MLS Week 5.
Even though the season is still in its infant stages, we’re already getting a huge rematch between these title contenders after the two met as recently as April 21 in a 1-1 draw. an early Eduard Atuesta goal in the second minute was cancelled out by a Brad Smith equalizer in the 54′.
Last year they met on five occasions, in which Seattle won three of them, and LAFC two. Those scorelines read 4-1, 3-1, 3-0, 3-1 and 3-1, so betting the OVER when these teams meet has generally been the way to go. However in the 2021 season, Seattle is just 3-2 to OVER 2.5 totals, while LAFC is 1-3.
The Sounders sit atop the West and the league overall as the only team yet to taste defeat at 4-1-0 (WDL). They extended their strong start on Wednesday with a 1-0 road win in San Jose. After five mstches they’ve scored 11 times while conceding just twice. The Sounders will be without both Jordy Delem (ACL) and goalkeeper Stefan Frei (sprained knee) who were both injured in Wednesday’s victory.
When goalkeeper Stefan Frei went down with an injury in second-half stoppage time, defender @Alex_Roldan8 became the first field player in the club's @MLS history to step into goal.

LAFC haven’t quite got things rolling yet at 1-2-1 (WDL). It’s another big game for Bob Bradley’s LAFC, fresh off a 2-1 defeat in El Trafico last week against the Galaxy.
Save for a Week 1 victory over expansion Austin FC, which was 1-0 until a late second goal for LAFC, the team have struggled with back-to-back 1-1 draws before their El Trafico letdown last weekend. Part of the problem is the curious abense of star striker Carlos Vela, whose return from a suspected injury remains a mystery.
This game could lose some lustre without Vela and maybe Nico Lodeiro for Seattle. But there’s still plenty of talent on the pitch. That said, the 1-1 scoreline a few weeks ago actually surpassed the games expected goals which leaned just slightly in Seattle’s favor at 0.8-0.7. Seattle is the form side right now and I can see them edging out a tight victory at home Sunday.
Pick: Seattle to win (+130)
