Tottenham Hotspur vs Wolverhampton Wanderers Prediction

Spurs emerged with a point from the latest ‘Battle of the Bridge‘ last Sunday – a game in which they were second best for long spells but which was most notable for its feistiness and two clashes between the two managers. Given that they were behind twice, it was a point gained for Spurs and kept them ticking along nicely after their opening day win over Southampton.

For Wolves, it has been a tough start. A 2-1 defeat on opening day at Elland Road against Leeds was doubly disappointing as they had taken an early lead through Daniel Podence, and although they picked up a point at home to Fulham in game 2, they were lucky as the Cottagers’ Aleksandar Mitrovic missed a late penalty.

A Spurs win looks the obvious bet here and with Richarlison making an impact at Stamford Bridge they have added another dimension to their attack. Wolves though will have a fresh look with Joao Moutinho fit again and a possible start for new signing, Matheus Nunes and so will be keen to clear their heads after a slow start. There’s value here in the draw with Wolves almost certain to keep it a tight, few-chances type game.

Pick: Spurs and Wolves to draw (+375).

Leicester City vs Southampton Prediction

Leicester opens the day in 15th place in the EPL table after picking up just a single point from their two games. On opening day, they squandered a two-goal lead at home to Brentford, with the Bees scoring two second-half goals to level things.

The Foxes followed this up with a 4-2 defeat away at Arsenal, and with rumors of some big-name players departing before the transfer window closes, these are worrying times for Leicester fans. The Saints have also had a tricky start and they too are winless and have just one point. An opening day thrashing at Spurs (4-2) was followed by a 2-2 draw at home with Leeds.

Worth noting here is that Southampton’s 2-2 draw last weekend was achieved, unlike Leicester’s against Brentford, from being 2-0 down. This may give them enough momentum to go on and win this game.

Pick: Southampton to win (+295).

Bournemouth vs Arsenal Prediction

Newly-promoted Bournemouth had a tough afternoon at the Etihad last weekend, losing 4-0, but they won’t be the last team to suffer away at Man City. Of more relevance is their opening day win at home over Aston Villa, in which they performed to a high level.

While Arsenal have made a flying start to the EPL, the Vitality Stadium is a tough place to go, and, as odd as it may seem, this could well be their toughest test so far. The Cherries will write off events at the Etihad and try to find that same rhythm that saw them beat Villa.

As a result, I’m going bold here and predicting a hiccup for the Gunners and a surprise, narrow win for Bournemouth at a tempting +675.

Premier League Pick: Bournemouth to win (+675).
