Real Madrid (-600) vs Levante (+1200) (Draw +650)

Real Madrid has won its last six games (counting both the Champions League and La Liga), scoring 27 goals and only conceding six. This Saturday, October 14, Real will try to continue its hot-streak in an away match against Levante (10:00 a.m. Eastern at Ciudad de Valencia Stadium).

In the head-to-head history, “Los Merengues” have an impressive 12 wins, one draw, and only three defeats against Levante. This year’s iteration has an embarrassment of talent and is poised to continue its dominance in the series. Real Madrid is the heavy favorite to win the match listed at -600 in the moneyline. Levante is rated at +1200 and the draw is +650.

Anyway you analyze this game, Real Madrid looks like the much stronger team.  For instance, “Los Blancos” won their last five meetings vs. Levante scoring an average of 3.4 goals; Levante, on the other hand, has lost three straight at home without scoring a goal. Levante is the only team in La Liga that hasn’t scored at home this season.

Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo scored this past week with Portugal and remains one of the most lethal footballers in the world.

Considering their roster (and the accompanying price tag), Madrid is in a disappointing fourth place in the standings with 15 points (5W, 0D, 2L) and a +16 goal difference. Levante is 17th with only five points (1W, 2D, 4L). Their -11 goal differential is tied for worst in the league.
