  • Day two of the UTR Women’s Pro Match Series will continue on Saturday May 23
  • Coverage begins at 12pm ET on Tennis Channel or tennis.com
  • Read below for odds, analysis and our predictions for day two

Day one of the UTR Women’s Pro Match Series is officially wrapped, and the day was full of competitive tennis, despite no fans, and different rules and regulations around the match. We were seeing players retrieve their own balls, and being responsible for their own towels and beverages.

After day one, Danielle Collins finds herself on top having won her only match of the day. On the other end, 18-year old Amanda Anisimova will look to come back after a tough day one, going 0-2, and only winning 10 games.

Riske vs Collins Round Robin Odds

Player Spread Moneyline Total
Alison Riske -1.0 (-125) -115 O 13.5 (+110)
Danielle Collins +1.0 (-165) -120 U 13.5 (-150)

All odds taken May 21

Alison Riske played two matches on the first day of play, and didn’t have the best start. She lost her first match against Ajla Tomljanovic, but managed to save two match points to beach Amanada Anisimova 0-4, 4-0, 4-3 (6). Riske’s edge on day two will be that she only has to compete in one match.

Despite coming into this tournament the highest WTA-ranked player, Riske’s odds have shifted slightly after a few struggles on day one. Collins, on the other hand, had no problem defeating her only opponent of the day, beating Anisimova in straight sets, 4-1, 4-2. This match could go either way, but Collins has the edge going into the match after a great first day of play.

I predict this match to be fairly close, with both players playing strong. But I’m going to give the edge to Collins, don’t be shocked if she comes out fairly explosive in this first match.

Pick: Collins (-120) in three sets

Anisimova vs Tomljanovic Round Robin Odds

Player Spread Moneyline Total
Amanda Anisimova +0.5 (-120) -125 O 12.5 (-150)
Ajla Tomljanovic -0.5 (-120) -110 U 12.5 (+110)

Unfortunately, Anisimova didn’t have herself a very good first day of the tournament. She lost both of her matches, as well as losing 16 of the 26 games she played. But she was handed a tough day, having to play two matches, with not a lot of time to break. But, she only has one match on day two, so hopefully she is able to focus in, and have herself a good match against Tomljanovic.

Her opponent will be playing back-to-back matches on day two, but she is coming off an impressive win against Alison Riske. She only dropped four games in that match, and play some dominant tennis.

I predict this match to actually be fairly close. I think Anisimova has something to prove after day one, and Tomljanovic would like to continue her momentum from day one into this match and the one right after.

Pick: Tomljanovic (-110) in three sets

Collins vs Tomljanovic Round Robin Odds

Player Spread Moneyline  Total
Danielle Collins -2.0 (-110) -155 O 12.5 (-140)
Ajla Tomljanovic +2.0 (-130) +115 U 12.5 (EVEN)

Even though this will be Collins’ second match of the day, she is still the heavy favorite. We saw the dominant performance she put on against Anisimova on day one, and this match could be very dependent on how her first match against Riske goes.

Although Tomljanovic beat Riske yesterday,  she is still not close to being the favorite in either of her matches for day two. She played strong, and definitely caught Riske off guard, but Collins in going to be a tough opponent for her here. Tomljanovic will be coming right off a match, and Collins leads the way, having only dropped three games after day one.

I predict that fatigue is going to play a part in this match for Tomljanovic, and with the way Collins has played after day one, I think this one will be fairly straight forward.

Pick: Collins (-155) in two sets
