[1] Iga Swiatek vs Caty McNally Prediction

These two have never played against one another, but they have played together. In 2018, the two teamed up and went on to win the junior doubles title at the French Open.

20-year old McNally is having herself a very impressive tournament this week. The qualifier came out strong, and hadn’t dropped a set until last match where she dropped the second against home favorite Karolina Muchova.

As for Swiatek, after a bye in the first round, her second round opponent Ajla Tomljanovic retired from the match in the second set down 7-5, 2-2. Safe to say Swiatek will be entering this quarterfinal match well rested.

Against almost anyone else, in any other circumstance, McNally may have had a chance to even win a set, but given Swiatek’s level of play, and the fact that she will be so well rested, it’s hard to believe McNally would be able to put up that big of a fight. Because of that, look for Swiatek to have a fairly straightforward win in straight sets.

Best Bet: Swiatek 2-0 (-290)

Elena Rybakina vs Petra Kvitova Prediction

It’s a battle of the Wimbledon champs as Rybakina and Kvitova go head-to-head. Surprisingly, this is the first career meeting between the two, as their head-to-head sits at 0-0.

Both players have had a similar couple of matches at the tournament. Neither blew past their opponents, but have been strong and relatively consistent. Rybakina and Kvitova has a very similar style of game.

Kvitova will be once again playing in front of a home crowd, especially on Centre Court, and that’s something where she just naturally gets the edge. And that might be what it takes to defeat someone who has such a similar game to you.

Best Bet: Kvitova to win (-110); Kvitova 2-0 (+190)

Tereza Martincova vs Ekaterina Alexandrova Prediction

This will be the sixth career meeting between Martincova and Alexandrova, but the first of 2022. The two played each other for the first time back in 2013, and most recently in 2021 in St. Petersburg. Their head-to-head is closer with Alexandrova leading 3-2, and won their last matchup.

Martincova will enter the quarterfinals after her round of 16 opponent, Anett Kontaveit retired at the beginning of the second set. Alexandrova recently upset fifth seed Daria Kasatkina in straight sets earlier today.

Yes, Alexandrova is playing strong tennis at the moment, but much like another quarterfinalist, Martincova will be playing in front of a home crowd. This might not be enough of a boost for her to beat Alexandrova, but it might be enough for her to take a set off.

Best Bet: Over 2.5 sets (+145)
