Week 1 NFL Betting Outlook

Finally, football season is upon us, and the NFL week one will start with tremendous games between teams that can actually be considered contenders. However, in order to make the right bet here are some numbers and stats we tracked down, so you have it easier.
Thursday:
Green Bay Packers @ Seattle Seahawks | 8:30 PM ET
Opening Line: Seahawks -5.5
Current Line: Seahawks 5.5
Game Total: 45.5
- The last times these two teams met was in the 2012 season where on a Monday Night Football game, the Seahawks won the matchup on a blown call by the replacement refs.
- Since the NFL scheduled the Super Bowl champions to open the season in 2004, the champs are 8-2 in those games, but 0-2 in the last two seasons.
- Green Bay is 2-7-1 ATS in its last ten games
- Seattle is 1-3-1 ATS in its last five games when playing at home against Green Bay

New Orleans Saints @ Atlanta Falcons | 1 PM ET

- QB Drew Brees is 13-4 against the Atlanta Falcons in 17 career games. Keep in mind, he only played one-quarter in the preseason due to an oblique injury.

- New Orleans is 4-1 SU in its last five games when playing on the road against Atlanta.
- Atlanta is 1-6 SU in its last seven games when playing New Orleans.
Cincinnati Bengals @ Baltimore Ravens | 1 PM ET

- Ravens QB Joe Flacco is 7-5 on 12 career games against the Bengals.
- Baltimore won’t have RB Ray Rice for the first two games of the season.
- Bengals QB Andy Dalton is 2-4 in 6 career games against Baltimore.
- Cincinnati is 2-6-1 ATS in its last nine games on the road.
- Baltimore is 21-4 SU in its last 25 games at home.
San Francisco 49ers @ Dallas Cowboys | 4:25 PM ET

- The 49ers have reached the NFC Championship games over the last three seasons.
- In 2013, the Dallas Cowboys had the worst defense in NFL history.
- Cowboys QB Tony Romo had a back surgery in the offseason.
- San Francisco is 7-1-2 ATS in its last ten games on the road.
- Dallas is 6-13 ATS in its last 19 games at home.
- The total has gone OVER in 5 of Dallas’s last five games when playing at home against San Francisco.
Indianapolis Colts @ Denver Broncos | 8:30 PM ET

- These two teams met last year also on a Sunday Night matchup; the Colts won, giving the Broncos their first loss of the 2013 season.
- Denver is 0-5 ATS in its last five games when playing Indianapolis.

- Arizona is 2-7 SU in its last nine games when playing San Diego.
