Las Vegas ran away with Game 1, 102-77, taking a 20-point lead into halftime and winning all four quarters. Per usual, three-time MVP A’ja Wilson (23.4 PPG, 10.2 RPG, 3.1 APG) spearheaded the Aces victory, stuffing the stat sheet with a game-high 29 points, eight rebounds, three steals, two assists, and two blocks, all in just 30 minutes of action. Jackie Young (16.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 5.1 APG) added 18 points and a game-high seven assists.
Gabby Williams (11.6 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 4.2 APG) had a team-high 16 for Seattle on a night when the Storm were outplayed in every facet of the game.
The Aces’ Game 1 rout improved their WNBA Championship odds to +270, second only to odds-on favorite Minnesota (-110).
Aces vs Storm Player Props for Game 2
Player props as of 2:20 pm ET at bet365.
Wilson has a point total of 24.5 O/U in Game 2, over a point higher than her regular-season average, but still 4.5 points lower than her Game 1 output, which – again – came in just 30 minutes of playing time.
Nneka Ogwumike (18.3 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 2.3 APG), Seattle’s leading scorer during the regular season, has a team-high point total of 16.5 O/U. She scored just 11 points in Game 1 on 5-of-10 shooting. She averaged 14.0 FGA per game in the regular season, so it’s reasonable to expect her to be more aggressive on Tuesday night.
Las Vegas Aces vs Seattle Storm Picks & Predictions

- A’Ja Wilson over 24.5 points (-118) at FanDuel
- Best same-game parlay price: +150 at Caesars Sportsbook
After a pedestrian first half of the season, Las Vegas took its play to another level circa August 3rd. That’s when Vegas’ extant 17-game win streak started, which included six road wins (three over playoff teams: Golden State, Phoenix, Atlanta). They split their four games with Seattle in the regular season (each going 1-1 at home) but only one of those four meetings came after June 20th, a 90-86 Vegas win, sparked by another 29-point performance from Wilson.
Wilson has averaged 26.3 PPG and 11.8 RPG during the 17-game streak, both well over her season-long averages.
Seattle does not have the size or strength in its starting lineup to hold Wilson in check. The Storm finished with the worst rebound rate in the entire WNBA in the regular season (46.9 REB%) and finished -5 on the glass in Game 1.
Head coach Noelle Quinn gave rookie second-overall pick Dominique Malonga 24 minutes of playing time in Game 1 with some success. She collected 11 rebounds in those 24 minutes, but also committed three fouls and shot just 4-of-11 from the floor (and just 2-of-9 from inside the arc).
Malonga has future star written all over her and her play improved by leaps and bounds during her rookie season, but she’s still a not-quite-ready-for-primetime player at this stage of her career.
Wilson is poised to dominate again, propelling the Aces to their 18th straight victory and a berth in the WNBA semis.
