The Indiana Fever (29-23, 13-13 away, 29-23 ATS) staved off elimination last time out with a 90-83 home victory and now look to complete the comeback on the road in a winner-take-all Game 5 against the Las Vegas Aces (34-17, 20-6 home, 26-25 ATS) on Tuesday night in Sin City (6:30 pm PT/9:30 pm ET).

Despite Indiana’s impressive playoff run sans Caitlin Clark, the WNBA championship odds still give the Fever very little chance of writing a storybook ending to their Cinderella performance. Indiana is a +1400 longshot to win its first WNBA title. The Aces are priced at +115, just a shade behind the Phoenix Mercury, who punched their ticket to the final on Sunday.

Wilson (24.7 PPG, 9.3 RPG, 2.7 APG in 2025 playoffs) has a point total of 25.5 again, a number she’s exceeded three times and failed to hit three times in the 2025 playoffs. Last time out, she had 31 points on 14-of-24 shooting over 36 minutes in a losing effort.

Kelsey Mitchell’s (23.3 PPG, 3.1 APG in 2025 playoffs) point total has been bumped up to 21.5 after sitting at 20.5 for most of the series. The red-hot Indiana guard poured in another 25 points in the Fever’s Game 4 victory, going 9-of-20 from the field and 2-of-5 from beyond the arc. She is averaging 18.6 FGA per game in the postseason, up considerably from 15.7 in the regular season.

As hard as it is to fade A’ja Wilson at any point, especially in a must-win home playoff game, the +285 price tag on the Fever is too enticing. Indiana already blew out Las Vegas once at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Game 1 of this series (89-73) and the Fever were full value for their Game 4 victory.

Yes, Wilson rebounded from a 13-point Game 3 effort with a 31-point night last time out, and is primed for big numbers again in Game 5. But that Game 4 dynamic is kind of my whole point. The Aces’ supporting cast is not nearly what it was when the team won back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2022. Wilson can play basically her best and the Aces can still lose.

With Mitchell leading the charge and Odyssey Sims upping her game in the postseason, the Indiana backcourt is faster and more talented than anything the Aces can put on the floor at this point. Aliyah Boston and Natasha Howard give the Fever the size and mobility in the front court to at least make Wilson work for her points, and prevent her from dominating the offensive glass.

Indiana’s +285 odds amount to just a 25.97% implied win probability, which means the Fever only need to win this game 26% of the time for that to be a +EV bet. That’s drastically undervaluing Indiana’s chances tonight.

I’m also fading Wilson’s rebound total at 10.5. She’s only hit double-digit rebounds once in this series, and that was back in Game 1. As mentioned, Indiana’s front court is one of the few in the league with the size, strength, and speed to keep Wilson at bay on the boards.
