I’m taking Indiana at long odds on the moneyline tonight purely because of their upside. The Fever haven’t been great as a whole without Clark, but they have put together some hugely impressive performances, including blasting the WNBA-best Minnesota Lynx on the road in the final of the 2025 Commissioner’s Cup ().

Kelsey Mitchell (20.2 PPG, 1.8 RPG, 3.4 APG) had 19 points through three quarters as the Fever ran away with Game 2 at home (77-60), and she will be the most-talented scorer on the court tonight. Aliyah Boston (15.0 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 3.7 APG) gives the Fever arguably the best post player, as well.

The major difference between Indiana’s lopsided Game 1 loss (80-68) and lopsided Game 2 victory was three-point shooting. The Dream connected on seven of 22 three-point attempts (31.8%) in Game 1 but just 5-of-19 (26.2%) in Game 2, while the Fever went a red-hot 8-of-19 from beyond the arc in Game 2 (42.1%) compared to a horrendous 2-of-15 (13.3%) in Game 1).

There is no denying that Atlanta is the stronger team from the perimeter, but in a one-game scenario, Indiana’s high level of variability makes them a good value bet at +275. The Commissioner’s Cup win alone gives the Fever more big-game credentials than an Atlanta core that was 0-4 in the playoffs the last two seasons.
