Here are some notes on the AFC East odds movement:

  • [January 10] The Bills clinched the AFC East with a win over the Jets in Week 18.
  • [January 2] The Bills and Patriots both won in Week 17, setting up a situation for the Bills to clinch the AFC East with a win over the Jets in Week 18. Buffalo’s divisional odds improved from -700 to -2000 after Sunday’s win over the Falcons.
  • [December 26] The Bills went from +130 odds to win the division to -650 after beating the Patriots in Week 16. New England’s AFC East odds faded from -175 to +450.
  • [December 19] The Patriots remain the odds-on favorites to win the AFC East despite losing to the Colts in Week 15. With Buffalo winning, the top seed in the division will be up for grabs in Week 16 when the Bills take on the Patriots.
  • [December 12] The Patriots’ divisional odds improved while they were on bye, thanks to the Bills losing to the Buccaneers in Week 14. New England went from -275 to -360 after Sunday’s games, while Buffalo faded from +200 to +250.
  • [December 6] For the first time this season, the Bills are not favored to win the AFC East. The Patriots now have the best odds to win the division, improving from +115 to heavy -265 favorites after beating Buffalo in Week 13.
  • [November 28] Buffalo was as short as -200 to win the AFC East after blowing out the Saints on Thanksgiving. They’ve now faded to -140 after New England notched their sixth straight win, bringing their own divisional odds to +115.
  • [November 21] The Bills are still odds-on favorites to win the AFC East after being embarrassed at home by the Colts. However, their odds have faded from -450 to -175. The Patriots are closing in at +135.
  • [November 14] Buffalo’s 45-17 win over the Jets moved from -500 to -600, even though New England, the second-favorite, also posted an impressive 45-7 win over the Browns.
  • [November 7] The Bills were upset by the Jaguars as 14.5-point favorites in Week 9. They remain heavy odds-on favorites to win the AFC East, but their divisional odds went from as short as -1600 to -500 now.
  • [October 11] After beating the Chiefs in Week 5, the Bills’ odds to win the AFC East are incredibly short.
  • [October 4] The Bills have found their groove after a disappointing Week 1 loss, reeling off three straight impressive wins. The result has been their odds to win the AFC East moving as short as -500.
  • [September 20] Buffalo is back to being the heavy favorites to win the AFC East after shutting out the Dolphins in Week 2. Miami’s odds slipped to +370 with the loss and rib injury to Tua Tagovailoa, which fortunately doesn’t sound serious.
  • [September 12] The Bills remain the odds-on favorites to win the AFC East after being upset by the Steelers in Week 1. The Dolphins saw their odds improve slightly after beating the Patriots.
  • [August 31] After cutting Cam Newton and naming Mac Jones their starter, the Patriots’ AFC East odds have not changed.
  • [August 17] Buffalo remains the odds-on favorite to win the AFC East, but Miami’s odds have faded after Week 1 of the NFL Preseason. They are now given the same odds as the Patriots to win the division.
  • [February 10] The Bills have opened as the favorites to win the AFC East after taking the division crown from the Pats for the first time in 11 years. New England’s odds opened at a distant +480, behind the Dolphins in the pecking order as well.

Closing Odds to Win the AFC North

Here are some notes on the AFC North odds movement:

  • [January 2] Cincinnati has clinched the AFC North thanks to a big win over the Chiefs in Week 17 and a Ravens loss to the Rams.
  • [December 26] The Bengals entered Week 16 as the favorites to win the AFC North, but came out as the odds-on favorites. Cincinnati’s divisional odds improved from +125 to -250 after they hammered the Ravens, and both the Browns and Steelers lost.
  • [December 19] The AFC North odds really got shuffled up after Sunday of Week 15. The Ravens loss to the Packers and Bengals win over the Broncos sees Cincinnati take over as the favorites to win the division.
  • [December 12] The Baltimore Ravens remain the favorites to win the AFC North after losing to the Browns in Week 14. However, with Lamar Jackson’s ankle injury, their odds have faded from -140 to +165. Cleveland’s divisional odds went from +450 to +175, the second-best odds, thanks to Cincinnati also losing on Sunday.
  • [December 5] Despite being upset by the Steelers in Week 13, the Ravens remain the odds-on favorites to win the AFC North, thanks to the Bengals also losing on Sunday.
  • [November 29] The Ravens and Bengals created some distance between themselves and the Browns and Steelers in Week 12. Baltimore took down the Browns on Sunday Night Football, moving their odds from -130 to -175. The loss pushes Cleveland’s odds to win the AFC North as long as +800 now. Cincinnati demolished Pittsburgh, resulting in their divisional odds improving to +200 and the Steelers fading from +1100 to +2800.
  • [November 14] The Bengals actually improved from +700 to +490 while on bye thanks to the Steelers tying the winless Lions at home and the Browns getting pounded by the Patriots on the road. The entire division is separated by just 1.5 games.
  • [November 7] The odds to win the AFC North saw a ton of movement after Sunday of Week 9. The Bengals were hammered by the Browns, sending their divisional odds from +350, the second-best, to +700, the worst odds in the division. Cleveland improved from +650 to +450 with the win.
  • [November 1] While on bye, the Ravens became heavier favorites to win the AFC North. The Bengals were upset by the lowly Jets and the Browns lost to the Steelers in Week 8.
  • [October 24] The Ravens are still listed as odds-on favorites to win the AFC North after being blown out by the Bengals in Week 7. Cincinnati is at least tied with Cleveland now for the second-best odds to win the division.
  • [October 3] The Ravens are now odds-on favorites to win the AFC North after beating the Broncos in Denver.
  • [September 20] Baltimore is back to being the favorite to win the AFC North after upsetting Kansas City in Week 2. Cleveland is a close second after beating the Texans for their first win of the season.
  • [September 18] The Ravens experienced some AFC North odds movement later in the week after losing to the Raiders on Monday night of Week 1. On Tuesday morning, Baltimore was still favored to win the division. But Cleveland has now taken the title, as Baltimore’s odds slip to +165.
  • [August 17] The Steelers’ AFC North odds have worsened to +500 after their suspect offensive line hasn’t shown much promise through two preseason games.
  • [February 10] Despite the Steelers winning the division last year, the Baltimore Ravens have opened as the favorites to win the AFC North in 2021.

Closing Odds to Win the AFC South

Here are some notes on the AFC South odds movement:

  • [January 2] The Titans clinched the AFC South with a win over the Dolphins and a Colts loss to the Raiders in Week 17.
  • [November 28] Although Tennessee lost to New England in Week 12, their odds to win the AFC South improved, thanks to Indianapolis losing as well.
  • [November 21] The Titans’ odds to win the AFC South faded from -10000 to -2000 after being upset by the Texans. The Colts’ divisional odds improved from +2500 to +900 after dismantling the Bills.
  • [November 14] Tennessee’s odds came stayed at -10000 thanks to a 23-21 win over the Saints in Week 10. Despite holding serve against the Jaguars, the Colts’ odds faded from +2000 to +2500. They stayed three games behind Tennessee and how have just seven games remaining.
  • [November 7] After upsetting the Rams in Week 9, the Titans now have the best odds in the NFL to win their respective division. Tennessee’s AFC South odds are now -10000.
  • [November 2] Tennessee remains the heavy odds-on favorite in the AFC South, but their odds faded slightly after learning they will be without Derrick Henry for 6-10 weeks.
  • [November 1] The Titans are now extremely heavy favorites to win the AFC South. Tennessee went into Indianapolis and came away with an overtime win in Week 8.
  • [October 25] The Titans have become heavy odds-on favorites to win the AFC South after putting a beating on the Chiefs in Week 7.
  • [October 19] The Titans’ odds to win the AFC South have reached a season-best after they upset the Bills on Monday Night Football of Week 6.
  • [October 3] Despite losing to the Jets in Week 4, the Titans are still heavy odds-on favorites to win the AFC South.
  • [September 20] With the Colts dropping to 0-2, and Carson Wentz dealing with some ankle injuries, the Titans have become heavy favorites to win the AFC South.
  • [September 12] The Titans remain the odds-on favorites to win the AFC South despite getting destroyed by the Cardinals in Week 1. The Texans were the only team in the division to win Week 1, but still have the longest odds on the board.
  • [August 17] With Colts quarterback Carson Wentz’ Week 1 status up in the air, the Titans have become odds-on favorites to win the AFC South.
  • [July 26] The Titans and Colts are now listed as co-favorites to win the AFC South, as money has continued to come in on Tennessee after they acquired Julio Jones.
  • [June 7] The Titans’ NFL divisional odds have gone from +130 to +110 after they acquired Julio Jones from the Falcons via trade. As a result, the Colts are no longer odds-on favorites to win the AFC South.
  • [February 10] The Titans have opened as the favorites to win the AFC South in the 2021 NFL season.

Here are some notes on the AFC West odds movement:

  • [December 26] The Chiefs clinched the AFC West title after Week 16. Kansas City beat the Steelers with ease and the Chargers were upset by the Texans.
  • [December 17] Kansas City’s overtime victory over the Chargers in Week 15 resulted in the Chiefs’ divisional odds going from -250 to -1600.
  • [November 28] While on bye, the Chiefs divisional odds improved from -130 to -225, thanks to the Chargers being upset by the Broncos.
  • [November 15] The Chiefs moved from +160 second-favorites to odds-on favorites at -115 thanks to a 41-14 win in Las Vegas. Perhaps even more important than the win was the sensational performance of struggling Patrick Mahomes. The 2019 MVP balled out to the tune of 406 yards and five touchdowns without a single interception or sack.
  • [November 1] With the Chargers losing to the Patriots in Week 8, LA is no longer listed as the odds-on favorite to win the AFC West. The Chargers do remain the favorites, however. Kansas City’s odds faded slightly too, after they nearly lost to the Giants at home. The Raiders are steadily moving up the odds board as a result.
  • [October 24] The Chiefs were crushed by the Titans in Week 7, dropping their record to 3-4. As a result, the Chargers are back to being odds-on favorites to win the AFC West.
  • [October 17] The Chargers’ reign atop the AFC West odds board was short-lived. After getting crushed by the Ravens in Week 6, LA’s odds worsened to +130, allowing the Chiefs to reinstate themselves as the favorites.
  • [October 11] For the first time in a few years, the Kansas City Chiefs are not favored to win the AFC West. The Chargers now have the best odds to win the division after the Chiefs dropped to 2-3, and LA pulled out a big win against the Browns in Week 5.
  • [September 26] The Chiefs remain the odds-on favorites to win the AFC West, despite losing to the Chargers at home in Week 3. Kansas City’s odds are nearing even-money, though.
  • [September 20] Despite looking up at the Broncos and Raiders in the AFC West standings, the Chiefs remain the heavy favorites to win the division. Las Vegas’ odds to win the AFC West improved dramatically after beating the Steelers in Week 2, giving them wins over Baltimore and Pittsburgh to start the season.
  • [September 12] The AFC West looked strong on Sunday of Week 1, with all three teams winning. The Chiefs narrowly escaped with a win over the Browns, the Chargers beat the Washington Football Team, and the Broncos beat up on the Giants. Denver is the only team who saw any sort of significant odds movement after their win.
  • [July 26] After being as short as +400, the Broncos’ AFC West odds have faded to +550, falling back behind the Chargers again, as the likelihood of Denver acquiring Aaron Rodgers dwindles.
  • [May 3] The Broncos have gone from the worst odds to win the AFC West, listed as long as +1500, to the second-best at +550, thanks to the possibility of them acquiring Aaron Rodgers from the Packers. The Chiefs odds went from -400 to -305, as a result.
  • [February 10] To the surprise of no one, the Kansas City Chiefs have opened with the best odds to win the AFC West. To the surprise of some, the Chargers have the second-best odds as Justin Herbert enters his second season in the league.

Closing Odds to Win the NFC East

Here are some notes on the NFC East odds movement:

  • [December 26] The Cowboys had officially clinched the NFC East title even before laying a beating on Washington in SNF of Week 16.
  • [December 12] After beating Washington in Week 14, Dallas’ odds to win the NFC East went from -800 to -5000.
  • [November 25] Dallas was upset by the Raiders on Thanksgiving, but remain the heavy odds-on favorites to win the NFC East. Their divisional odds did fade from -900 to -550, though.
  • [November 14] The Cowboys dominated the Falcons (43-3) in Week 10 and, now holding a 3.5-game lead on the Eagles, saw their odds improve modestly from -1600 to -2000.
  • [November 7] Dallas’ odds to win the NFC East went from -5000 to -1600 after being upset by the Broncos at home. They are still extremely heavy favorites to win the division, though.
  • [October 25] No team has better odds to win their respective division than the Cowboys. Dallas became extremely heavy favorites to win the NFC East while on bye, thanks to the Eagles and Football Team both losing in Week 7.
  • [September 20] Dallas is now the odds-on favorite to win the NFC East after beating the Chargers in Week 2. Philadelphia and Washington are tied for the second-best odds to win the division.
  • [September 12] The Cowboys remained favored to win the NFC East after losing a thriller to the Bucs in the season-opener. Washington also still has the second-best odds after losing to the Chargers and seeing Ryan Fitzpatrick go down with a hip injury. The Eagles no longer have the worst odds in the division after beating the Falcons, though.
  • [August 31] Dallas’ odds to win the NFC East have worsened a little with news of Dak Prescott still not being 100%. Washington’s odds have reached a season-best of +200.
  • [August 17] The Washington Football Team has seen their divisional odds fade slightly after the first week of preseason football.
  • [March 21] The Eagles no longer have the second-best odds to win the NFC East after Washington signed free agent QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, moving them into the second spot behind the Cowboys. Many sportsbooks don’t even give the Eagles the third-best odds. The Cowboys are also no longer odds-on favorites at most sportsbooks.
  • [February 10] With Dak Prescott returning from injury, and signed long-term, the Cowboys have opened as the odds-on favorites to win the NFC East in 2021.

Here are some notes on the NFC North odds movement:

  • [December 19] The Packers have clinched the NFC North, becoming the first team to clinch their respective division title in the 2021 NFL season.
  • [December 5] Thanks to the Vikings giving the Lions their first win of the season in Week 13, the Packers have a chance to clinch the NFC North title next week. As a result Green Bay’s divisional odds have reached -10000.
  • [November 28] A big win over the Rams paired with a Vikings loss in San Francisco has resulted in the Packers going back to extremely heavy odds-on favorites to win the NFC North.
  • [November 21] Despite losing to the Vikings in Week 11, the Packers remain heavy odds-on favorites to win the NFC North. Green Bay’s odds did fade to -1200, while Minnesota’s improved to +650.
  • [November 14] Green Bay stayed at -2000 after shutting out the Seahawks (17-0) as the Vikings (+1000) scored an impressive upset win over the Chargers.
  • [November 7] The Packers lost to the Chiefs in Week 9, but were without Aaron Rodgers, who was ruled out with COVID-19. Green Bay’s odds to win NFC North didn’t change.
  • [September 13] The Packers remain the odds-on favorite to win the NFC North, despite an embarrassing performance in Week 1 against the Saints. No other team in the division got a win either, though.
  • [August 17] With Aaron Rodgers prepping to start Week 1 for the Packers, the reigning NFC North champions are back to being heavy favorites to win the division, pushing the Vikings back down the board.
  • [July 26] Green Bay is back to being the odds-on favorite to win the NFC North now that Aaron Rodgers has reportedly revealed that he plans to play for the Packers in 2021.
  • [July 24] For the first time since the summer of 2020, the Green Bay Packers are not favored to win the NFC North. With Aaron Rodgers continuing to hold his ground on not playing for the Packers this season, the Vikings have become the new favorites to win the division.
  • [July 5] The Packers’ odds to win the NFC North continue to fade as Aaron Rodgers has shown no signs of interest in returning to the team.
  • [May 3] The NFC North odds have seen major movement with the reports of Aaron Rodgers wanting out of Green Bay surfacing. The Packers went from -250 favorites to just -110. The Vikings improved from +350 to +225, while the Bears went from +650 to +325 after drafting Justin Fields.
  • [February 10] The Packers have opened as odds-on favorites to win the NFC North in 2021.

Closing Odds to Win the NFC South

Here are some notes on the NFC South odds movement:

  • [December 26] The Buccaneers clinched the NFC South title for the first time since 2007, thanks to a win over the Panthers in Week 16.
  • [December 5] After Week 13, the Buccaneers now have a four-game lead over every other team in the NFC South. Their odds to win the division have reached -10000.
  • [November 14] The Panthers had arguably the most-impressive win of Week 10, dominating the Kyler Murray-less Cardinals 34-10 in Cam Newton’s return. They improved from +6000 all the way to +1400 in the NFC South odds.
  • [November 1] Tampa Bay remains heavy odds-on favorites in the NFC South odds after losing to the Saints in Week 8.
  • [October 25] After Week 3 of the season, Carolina appeared to be the team who would push Tampa Bay in the NFC South. The Panthers have now dropped four in a row, most recently being embarrassed by the Giants in Week 7. They now have the worst odds to win the division.
  • [September 20] The Buccaneers remain heavy favorites in the odds to win the NFC South, which should come as no surprise after they beat up on the Falcons in Week 2. What is surprising is the Saints still having the second-best odds to win the division after losing to the Panthers, who have the third-best odds, on Sunday.
  • [September 12] The Saints saw their divisional odds improve to as short as +300 after upsetting the Packers in Week 1. The Bucs remain the odds-on favorites after they beat the Cowboys on opening night.
  • [August 17] The Buccaneers’ NFC South odds have reached a season-best after Week 1 of the NFL Preseason. On the other hand, neither Jameis Winston or Taysom Hill looked overly impressive for New Orleans in their first preseason game.
  • [June 7] The Falcons’ divisional odds have not changed since dealing Julio Jones to the Titans, as they were already listed at long odds of +800.
  • [February 10] With Drew Brees retiring, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have opened as the odds-on favorites to win the NFC South.

Here are some notes on the NFC West odds movement:

  • [January 10] The Rams, who lost to the 49ers in Week 18, opened the door for the Cardinals to take the NFC West. But Arizona also lost their regular season finale, falling 38-30 to the Seahawks, allowing LA to take the division title.
  • [January 2] Los Angeles’ odds to win the NFC West improved slightly from -330 to -350 with a win over the Ravens in Week 17. The Rams were not able to clinch the division thanks to the Cardinals upsetting the Cowboys. LA can clinch the NFC West with a win over the 49ers in Week 18 or a Cardinals loss to the Seahawks.
  • [December 26] Arizona went from odds-on favorites to win the NFC West entering Week 16, to +250 underdogs thanks to their loss to the Colts and a Rams victory. Los Angeles now has a game lead on the Cardinals in the division, and are -330 favorites to win it.
  • [December 19] The Cardinals’ divisional odds went from -700 to -200 after being upset by the Lions in Week 15. Los Angeles’ odds improved from +450 to +160 thanks to the loss, and could see their odds improve more should they beat the Seahawks on Tuesday night.
  • [December 13] Despite losing to the Rams on Monday Night Football of Week 14, the Cardinals remain heavy odds-on favorites to win the NFC West. Their divisional odds only faded from -1200 to -800, while the Rams improved from +800 to +500.
  • [November 22] The Cardinals’ divisional odds have reached a season-best at -500 after Colt McCoy led them to a win over the Seahawks in Week 11.
  • [November 14] Without Kyler Murray, Arizona lost straight-up as seven-point home favorites to Carolina. Their odds to win the NFC West faded from -225 to -150 after the game.
  • [November 7] With the Rams being upset by the Titans on SNF, and the Cardinals pulling out a win against the 49ers without Kyler Murray, Arizona has become heavier -225 favorites to win the NFC West.
  • [November 2] Despite the Rams acquiring Von Miller from the Broncos, the Cardinals remain odds-on favorites to win the NFC West. The Rams’ divisional odds improved to +100 after the trade.
  • [October 29] Arizona was handed their first loss in Week 8, but remain the odds-on favorites to win the NFC West. Their odds faded from -175 to -130, though.
  • [October 18] The Cardinals are now the odds-on favorites to win the NFC West. This comes after Arizona extended their record to 6-0 with a win over the Browns.
  • [October 11] The Cardinals and Rams are now co-favorites to win the NFC West, while the 49ers and Seahawks have seen their divisional odds fall off with each suffering through injuries at quarterback.
  • [October 3] Sportsbooks still list the Rams as the favorites to win the NFC West, despite Arizona putting a beating on them in Week 4. The Cardinals saw their divisional odds improve, but only to +175.
  • [September 26] The Rams have taken over as the favorites in the odds to win the NFC West after beating the Bucs in Week 3. San Francisco suffered a tough loss to Green Bay, and Seattle falls to the bottom of the division with a loss to the Vikings.
  • [September 20] The 49ers have broken away as the favorites to win the NFC West after Week 2. San Francisco came out of Philadelphia with a win while the Rams struggled a little more in picking up their win in Indianapolis.
  • [September 13] Every single team in the NFC West recorded a win in Week 1. The Rams looked good in a win at home against the Bears, and the other three put together solid performances on the road. The 49ers and Rams are now co-favorites at some sportsbooks.
  • [August 17] For the first time this season, the 49ers are listed as the favorites to win the NFC West.
  • [March 29] After moving up to the third overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the 49ers odds to win the NFC West have improved. Some sportsbooks have them listed as co-favorites with the Rams.
  • [February 10] With Matthew Stafford locked in as their new quarterback, the Los Angeles Rams have opened as the favorites to win the NFC West.
