AFC East Odds
The Bills won six of their final seven games to come back and win the AFC East.
Here are some notes on the AFC East odds movement:
- [January 8] With a win in Miami during Week 18, the Buffalo Bills clinched the AFC East title.
- [January 1, 2024] After the Dolphins were embarrassed by the Ravens in Week 17, the Bills have reclaimed the title of favorites to win the AFC East. The Bills head to Miami to take on the Dolphins in Week 18, where the winner will take the division.
- [October 9] The Bills’ Week 5 loss to the Jaguars has sent Miami back atop the odds to win the AFC East.
- [October 1] After beating the Dolphins 48-20 in Week 4, the Bills have moved into a tie with Miami for the best odds to win the AFC East.
- [September 25] For the first time this season, a team is listed as an odds-on favorite—meaning their odds are better than even money—to win the AFC East: the Miami Dolphins.
- [September 18] Miami and Buffalo have separated themselves from the Jets and Patriots in the AFC East divisional odds after Week 2. Miami and Buffalo are both near even money, while the Jets and Pats are long shots now.
- [September 12] The Dolphins have taken over as the favorites in the AFC East divisional odds after an impressive win over the Chargers in Week 1. Meanwhile, the Bills lost to the Aaron Rodgers-less Jets on Monday Night Football.
- [April 25] In spite of the Jets trading for Aaron Rodgers, the Bills remained the favorites to win the AFC East.
- [March 9] The Bills opened as +100 favorites to win the AFC East, with the New York Jets having the second-best odds at +263.
AFC North Odds
The Ravens won the AFC North, and also clinched the AFC’s #1 seed, with their Week 17 win over the Dolphins.
Here are some notes on the AFC North odds movement:
- [January 1, 2024] The Baltimore Ravens wrapped up the AFC North with a dominant win over the Dolphins in Week 17. We will not see odds to win this division any longer.
- [November 17] Another AFC North QB has been lost for the season, this time Joe Burrow, who suffered a wrist injury in Week 11 – or maybe earlier. The Bengals had the second-best odds to win the division entering their TNF matchup with the Ravens but have now plummeted to +4500, by far the worst odds. Baltimore has become a very heavy -300 favorite as a result. The Ravens were only -190 after their Week 11 win.
- [November 15] The Browns have announced that Deshaun Watson will undergo season-ending surgery on his shoulder. Prior to this announcement, Cleveland had the second-best odds to win the AFC North, but they have fallen to the bottom of the board after the news broke. Baltimore has turned back into an odds-on favorite with -115 odds and Cincinnati has the second-best odds again.
- [November 12] The Ravens remained the favorites to win the AFC North after losing to the Browns in Week 10. Baltimore’s odds did worsen from -130 to +115, though. Cincinnati went from the second-best odds to the worst odds after losing to the Texans.
- [October 31] After the Bengals beat the 49ers in Week 8, Cincinnati moved from the worst odds to win the AFC North to the second-best odds.
- [October 9] In spite of losing to the Steelers in Week 5, the Ravens remain the favorites to win the AFC North, but they are no longer odds-on favorites.
- [September 19] Not only did the Ravens beat the Bengals, moving Cincinnati to 0-2, in Week 2, but the Browns lost to the Steelers, and Cleveland lost Nick Chubb for the season after a gruesome knee injury suffered on MNF. The Ravens moved to even-money (+100) to win the AFC North, while the Browns faded from +200 to +330. Cincinnati is still hanging around at +475.
- [September 11] After an ugly Week 1 performance, the Bengals are no longer the favorites to win the AFC North. The Ravens and Browns are listed as the favorites with +200 odds.
- [April 25] The Ravens odds to win the division faded slightly when it looked as if Lamar Jackson may not return, but quickly improved from +280 to +240 after Jackson agreed to an extension to remain in Baltimore.
- [March 9] The Bengals opened as the favorites to win the AFC North with +133 odds. The Ravens have the next best odds at +225.
AFC South Odds
Though the Jaguars were the favorites to win the AFC South all season long, they choked in the final week of the regular season, losing to the Titans. Jacksonville’s stunning loss allowed the Houston Texans to claim the division.
Here are some notes on the AFC South odds movement:
- [January 8] The Texans beat the Colts in a Week 18 thriller and ended up winning the AFC South thanks to the Jaguars being upset by the Titans.
- [December 18] Week 15 saw the Jaguars lose to the Ravens on Sunday Night Football and both the Colts and Texans come out of the weekend with wins. At the moment, there is a three-way tie for the division lead between the teams aforementioned. Jacksonville’s odds to win the division faded from -500 to -130 after Week 15. The Colts and Texans are listed at +275 and +300 odds, respectively.
- [December 5] Jacksonville not only lost as 10-point favorites to the Bengals in Week 13, but Trevor Lawrence also left the game with an ankle injury. As a result, Jacksonville has gone from -1000 favorites to win the AFC South to -240.
- [November 26] The Jaguars moved from -250 favorites to win the AFC South to -1000 odds after beating the Texans in Week 12.
- [November 12] The Texans’ odds to win the division went from +550 to +275 after beating the red hot Bengals in Week 10. They still have the second-best odds behind the Jaguars, but the gap closed significantly after Jacksonville was crushed by the 49ers.
- [October 9] Two straight wins in London, with the second coming over the Bills, has moved the Jags back to odds-on favorites to win the AFC South.
- [September 25] Jacksonville is no longer odds-on favorites to win the AFC South, but they are still the favorites at +125 odds after being upset by the Texans in Week 3.
- [September 18] The Jaguars remain odds-on favorites to win the AFC South after losing to the Chiefs in Week 2.
- [July 24] Tennessee has signed WR DeAndre Hopkins and their NFL divisional odds improved from an average of +403 to +330.

- [September 1] The Raiders AFC West odds have been steadily plummeting all summer as bettors have continued to warm up to the Chargers and even a bounce back season in Denver. Las Vegas odds were once +800 but now some sportsbooks list them longer than +1600.
- [March 9] Yet again, the Chiefs opened as the favorites to win the AFC West. One year after many felt the rest of the division caught up, the Chiefs are the reigning Super Bowl champs and now favored to win their division again.
