The fall television season is here, which means viewers will spend hours watching shows that invariably will be horrific and thus not picked up for the rest of the year or renewed for 2015.

Who remembers last year’s Lucky 7, We Are Men and Ironside? Exactly. Well, here’s a look at odds on which slate of new programs will survive…

A to Z (NBC)

ODDS: 33/1

AIRING: Premieres Oct. 2

SYNOPSIS: Hmm, don’t we already have a How I Met Your Mother?

The Affair (Showtime)

ODDS: 8/1

AIRING: Premieres Oct. 12

SYNOPSIS: Viewers will enjoy the fly on the wall discussions dissecting infidelity with plenty of flashbacks for titillation.

Bad Judge (NBC)

ODDS: 50/1

AIRING: Premieres Oct. 2

SYNOPSIS: Bad Judge, bad idea.

Black-ish (ABC)

ODDS: 15/1

AIRING: Premieres Sept. 24

SYNOPSIS: The idea of a major network tackling race doesn’t bode well for comedy or renewal.

Constantine (NBC)

ODDS: 22/1

AIRING: Premieres Oct. 24

SYNOPSIS: Comic book storylines are gaining popularity but there’s only room for one Gotham this year.

Cristela (ABC)

ODDS: 20/1

AIRING: Premieres Oct. 10

SYNOPSIS: Comedian Cristela Alonzo’s stand-up may be hilarious but odds are a watered-down television version won’t be.

The Flash (CW)

ODDS: 17/1

AIRING: Premieres Oct. 7

SYNOPSIS: If there’s a show that can give Gotham a run for its money, it’s this Arrow spin-off. The question is will folks find the CW?

Forever (ABC)

ODDS: 50/1

AIRING: Premieres Sept. 22

SYNOPSIS: A show about a coroner who can’t die sounds good as a pitch but odds are this show is DOA.

Gotham (Fox)

ODDS: 4/1

AIRING: Premieres Sept. 22

SYNOPSIS: There’s a lot of pressure considering Gotham is the crème de la crème of fall shows. Still, we’re talking Batman.

Gracepoint (Fox)

ODDS: 12/1

AIRING: Premieres Oct. 2

SYNOPSIS: A popular BBC show in the U.K., Gracepoint is now being Americanized with heavy hitters Anna Gunn and regular Nick Nolte.

How to Get Away With Murder (ABC)

ODDS: 20/1

AIRING: Premieres Sept. 25

SYNOPSIS: The heavily promoted legal drama could crack during cross-examination due to over-the-top plot twists.

Madam Secretary (CBS)

ODDS: 44/1

AIRING: Premieres Sept. 21

SYNOPSIS: This Homeland-meets-West Wing idea attempts to find a large audience using the decidedly divisive vehicle of politics. Good luck.

Manhattan Love Story (ABC)

ODDS: 75/1

AIRING: Premieres Sept. 30

SYNOPSIS: If only a 1970s Woody Allen was writing this Big Apple romance.

Marry Me (NBC)

ODDS: 33/1

AIRING: Premieres Oct. 14

SYNOPSIS: The problem with comedies is they need a year or two to find their footing. Marry Me appears headed for annulment.

The McCarthys (CBS)

ODDS: 33/1

AIRING: Premieres Oct. 30

SYNOPSIS: A show that revolves around a loud New England family and includes a gay son as well as a New Kid on the Block (literally). That’s a recipe for disaster.

Mulaney (Fox)

ODDS: 75/1

AIRING: Premieres Oct. 5

SYNOPSIS: This tired plot of a comedian living in New York City with wacky friends won’t get past Halloween.

The Mysteries of Laura (NBC)

ODDS: 44/1

AIRING: Premieres Sept. 17

SYNOPSIS: Who keeps picking these projects for the incredibly talented Debra Messing?

NCIS: New Orleans (CBS_

ODDS: 15/1

AIRING: Premieres Sept. 23

SYNOPSIS: Betting against the NCIS franchise is like betting against the Saints.

Red Band Society (Fox)

ODDS: 33/1

AIRING: Wednesdays

SYNOPSIS: The show appeared to be on life support before it even premiered.

Scorpion (CBS)

ODDS: 15/1

AIRING: Premieres Sept. 22

SYNOPSIS: The reason you don’t bet against CBS is the network knows geek.

Selfie (ABC)

ODDS: 22/1

AIRING: Premieres Sept. 30

SYNOPSIS: Hope the cast took selfies on the set. Ah, memories.

Stalker (CBS)

ODDS: 17/1

AIRING: Premieres Oct. 1

SYNOPSIS: Law enforcement shows are hit or miss. That said, this could hit.

Utopia (Fox)

ODDS: 44/1

AIRING: Sundays

SYNOPSIS: This society will more than likely suffer a coup d’état.
