Did anyone see the NC Dinos’ faceplant coming against eighth-place KT Wiz Suwon? Yes, as a matter of fact, we did!
Wednesday was a weird one in the KBO, with a couple of doubleheaders and a handful of upsets. Yours truly went 3-for-3 on moneyline picks, but today is a new day with a fresh set of matchups (and gloating has never done any good for anyone).
Here’s a look at the entire slate of KBO games for Friday, June 26th. All games start at 5:30am ET (2:30am PT).

Tale of Two Losers
In their past 12 games combined (i.e. six each), the SK Wyverns and LG Twins have compiled a 1-11 record. Now, they’re facing one another — and somebody’s gotta win, right?
LG has won three of the four most-recent matchups between these two squads, but all of those games were decided by one or two runs. In other words, they were coin flips.

Now the Twins, who are clinging to fourth in the KBO, are reeling with six straight losses. The Wyverns, meanwhile, have woken up their offense with 38 hits in the past three games.
SK starter Geon-wook Lee has faced LG three times this year (twice in relief), allowing only one run and four hits in 8.1 innings.
The Wyverns have tons of value on the moneyline, too. Give them a go.
Pick: SK Wyverns (+155)
Heroes Stay Hot
Unlike the NC Dinos, the Kiwoom Heroes did not led doubleheader fatigue get the best of them on Wednesday, as they rolled to a pair of wins and upped their streak to eight games.
Now they square up with the KIA Tigers, whom Kiwoom beat twice in a three-game series back in May.
The Tigers have lost their past two, but will likely enter the game fresher (they’ve only played twice since Sunday, while Kiwoom has played four times in that span).
Kiwoom still trails the Dinos in the KBO standings by three games, but the Heroes might be the team to beat in this league. They’ve won 15 of their last 20.

Also, KIA starter Drew Gagnon has a 5.16 ERA in his past four starts. You don’t want to hitch your wagon to that.
Pick: Kiwoom Heroes (-105)
Recipe for Runs
The top two offenses in the KBO are battling, as the NC Dinos face the Doosan Bears. The run total is unsurprisingly the highest among the matchups (10.5), but far from insurmountable for these teams.
For instance, their average run total in the six games they’ve played this year is 12 (72 total runs in six games).

The pitching matchup includes a Doosan hurler who has only made two appearances this year versus an NC pitcher who allowed eight hits and four runs in five innings against the Bears earlier this season.
Could be a tight one, but Doosan provides some attractive cushion on the run line.
Pick: Doosan Bears +1.5 (-130); Over 10.5 runs (-125)
