  • The top of the KBO standings is tight, with four teams separated by just two games
  • The Kiwoom Heroes will try to extend their winning streak with Choi Won-tae  on the mound
  • Odds and best bets for all Korea Baseball Organization action on June 23rd can be found in the article below

We all know that real life can be a little messy, especially given everything that has transpired on a global scale in recent months.

The Korea Baseball Organization is susceptible to some messiness, too, as seen in the quartet of postponements on Wednesday due to inclement weather. Samsung and Hanwha got through their game — a 3-2 Samsung victory — but that’s it.

What that means is there’s a boatload of baseball on June 25. Seven games in total are scheduled, with start times at 2:00am and 5:30am Eastern (11:00pm on June 24 and 2:30am on June 25, for those adhering to Pacific time).

Instead of regurgitating yesterday’s analysis ahead of Thursday’s makeup games, I’ll link to those here. The updated odds are below, but the analysis of the matchups should still hold.

So, then, onto the updated odds. From there, I’ll provide my picks for the three games that aren’t do-overs from Wednesday.

Dinos Enter Unbeaten Against Suwon, But…

As of publishing this article, the probable pitchers for the “Game 2” matchups on Thursday have not been listed. So instead of looking at the reputation of individual performers, it makes sense to look at the reputation of the teams, right?

The NC Dinos have a spotless 4-0 record against KT Wiz Suwon this year. But … all four of those victories came by exactly one run. That’s not the type of info that instills confidence in a bettor.

In yesterday’s article, I spoke glowingly of Dinos’ Game 1 starter Mike Wright. I think he’ll get the job done. But anything can happen in Game 2, when teams might be tired or switch up their lineups a bit.

Wouldn’t that be the perfect opportunity for KT Wiz to find some positive regression in this matchup?

Pick: KT Wiz Suwon in Game 2 (+220)

Kiwoom, LG Present Back-And-Forth Battle

The Kiwoom Heroes cleaned up in an 8-3 win over the LG Twins on Tuesday, but their season series is actually quite even.

Kiwoom holds the edge, 4-3, and the run differential is only plus-4 in the Heroes’ favor. Five of the games have been decided by three runs or fewer.

That explains why the moneyline odds are much tighter for this matchup than the others. Here’s where Kiwoom separates itself, though: the Heroes have won a KBO-high six straight, while LG has lost four in a row.

When in doubt, call on the hot hand.

Pick: Kiwoom Heroes in Game 2 (-130)

Outstanding Eagles Odds

Look, I’m aware that the Hanwha Eagles (10-34) are the undisputed basement dwellers of the KBO. And I know the Samsung Lions have won all three meetings between the two teams this year.

But moneyline odds like the ones you’re seeing for Hanwha are not the type of odds you’ll see everyday. Much like my KT Wiz pick, the value here is simply mouth-watering.

Oh, and guess what? Hanwha would’ve beaten Samsung on Tuesday if they hadn’t allowed a pair of runs with two outs in the ninth. Believe in the Eagles.

Pick: Hanwha Eagles (+225)
