The Chicago Bears (2-2) and Washington Commanders (3-2) conclude the Week 6 NFL slate on Monday Night Football at 8:15 PM ET on Oct. 13. Last time these two teams played, the Commanders won on an inexplicable Hail Mary, fueling their eventual run to the NFC Title Game.
The Commanders are healthy home favorites in the MNF odds. The public is split on either team covering, but they expect a flurry of points on Monday night.
Bears vs Commanders Public-Betting Splits
As of Monday morning, the ATS handle is split practically down the middle in the NFL public betting splits. The Bears are getting 51% of the ATS handle as 5.5-point road underdogs, with 51% of the bets coming in on the road team. The Commanders are getting 49% of the handle, with an equivalent 49% of the bets.
The moneyline skews toward the Commanders. Washington has received a healthy 82% of the moneyline handle with a sizable 87% of all bets placed. In contrast, the Bears are getting 18% of the moneyline handle spread across 13% of the bets. On average, Commanders spread bets are larger than Bears spread bets.

CHI Bears vs WSH Commanders Injury Reports
On the Bears’ side, only veteran defensive tackle Grady Jarrett has been ruled out. In his place, the Bears will look for Chris Williams and rookie Shemar Turner to step up. Jarrett has had a sluggish start for his new team, recording only four tackles in three games.
Cairo Santos’ status is up in the air, bringing doubt to the Chicago kicking game. Santos’ kicking length is already in question – his career-long is only 55 yards – but a hobbled Santos might have an even tighter range. If Santos cannot go, the Bears have Jake Moody on their practice squad.
First-round pick Colston Loveland has largely been a non-factor this season. He has caught only three passes thus far, missing a pair of games already. Without Loveland, veteran Durham Smythe would become the No.2 tight end.
The Commanders have a whopping seven players on their injury report as kickoff approaches. Two wide receivers – Noah Brown and Terry McLaurin – have been ruled out. Fellow receiver Deebo Samuel’s status is in doubt, forcing the Commanders to look down the depth chart. Chris Moore, Luke McCaffrey, and rookie Jaylin Lane are next up for Washington.
However, the key injury to monitor is Jayden Daniels’ knee. He was able to play last week against the Chargers, but he missed Weeks 3 and 4. Last week, he was still a threat on the ground even with his knee injury, rushing for 39 yards on eight carries.
Guard Sam Cosmi is designated for return from injured reserve after a devastating ACL injury in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. He would be a major boost to the offensive line if healthy, but it has not even been nine months since the injury. Cosmi is doubtful to go this week, but he could be back later in the month.
