In less than six months after Gov. Andy Beshear (D) signed the state’s sports betting bill into law, Kentucky sports betting regulators have successfully licensed eight sports betting operators, approved a slew of sports betting rules and regulations, and launched retail sports betting in the state.

Kentucky online sports betting will have its day in the sun tomorrow, as the state officially opens online sports betting on Thursday, Sept. 28, at 6 a.m.

Seven operators will open their app up to more than 60,000 customers who have already registered sports betting accounts in the commonwealth. New customers can still sign up and claim early registration promos before they expire when KY sports betting apps launch tomorrow morning.

The following apps will be ready to go on Thursday, Sept. 28, at 6 a.m.:

Circa Sports has also been licensed by the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission and plans to launch later this year.

DraftKings announced that Kentucky Sports Radio host Matt Jones will be hosting a live show from The Mint Gaming Hall Cumberland in Williamsburg tomorrow morning and will place the ceremonial first bet via the DraftKings Sportsbook app.

“I am excited to team up with DraftKings and their top-rated sportsbook to deliver KSR listeners and sports fans across Kentucky with engaging content and the latest DraftKings offerings,” said Jones in a press release. “We at KSR wanted to make sure that we were working with the best company for those eligible to wager in Kentucky, and I am ecstatic that we have done just that. We are just kicking things off in Kentucky and looking forward to celebrating more milestones with DraftKings.”
