The celebrity fight market is a curious one, but social media maverick Mark Zuckerberg is a name that struck many as a unique one when materializing in this niche space.

Mark Cuban Favored in Opening MMA Odds

The Facebook figurehead is not confirmed for any professional, but many mixed martial artists vocalized how impressed they were with Zuckerberg’s recent display of his standup abilities.

Khai Wu has a mixed martial arts record of 6-4 that has seen him featured on UFC Fight Pass and Bellator MMA. He was working with Zuckerberg in the aforementioned training footage which went viral.

Mark Cuban is another affluent individual who has indicated a level of interest in mixed martial arts previously. Cuban promoted HD Net Fights on AXS TV which featured broadcasts from Dream, K-1, Strikeforce, and Affliction to name a few.

While it doesn’t seem like Cuban and Zuckerberg directly have beef, the Dallas Mavericks owner is seemingly not a risk-averse guy. I feel like some see a certain brash aspect to his approach and the bombast of his character that might compel him to don the four-ounce gloves.

I think if Zuckerberg were to enter the competitive MMA space, it would be against a fellow Forbes list titan as opposed to a martial artist with some seasoning.

Zuckerberg vs Rogan…?

As far as if Joe Rogan is a viable option for Zuckerberg’s first-ever MMA opponent, I would very much say that is a bad idea. Rogan’s striking and grappling skills have been honed for far longer than Zuckerberg has been sharpening his tools so there would be minimal parity.

Also, Rogan responded positively to Zuckerberg’s training clip and encouraged him as he spotlighted the clean technique the tech billionaire was displaying.

Expected Mark Zuckerberg MMA Odds Outcome

Tom Hardy, Chris Pratt, Wiz Khalifa, and Kevin James all fit under that umbrella of celebrities who have varying levels of experience in the martial arts. I get why they’re on the list, but I do not see any of these guys leaving Hollywood fight scenes for legit combat any time soon.

Someone like a Cuban, Jeff Bezos, or Elon Musk would be most likely, but why would such wealthy individuals risk their health doing something like this when they can be paid a lot more to do far less at a much lower potential personal cost?

In the end, I do not see Mark Zuckerberg competing in mixed martial arts, but I have seen stranger things in the 2020’s transpire.
