Bayern Munich (+110) vs Borussia Dortmund (+270), Draw (+272)

It’s a battle of Germany’s best, but Borussia Dortmund (5-3-2, 18 points) are going to have to come up with something special if they’re going to take down Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich (7-3-0, 24 points). Bayern will travel to Signal Iduna Park next Saturday (November 19) for the game.

As expected, Bayern Munich are currently sitting in first in the Bundesliga after ten games. However, their performance this season is lackluster compared to their 2015-16 season under Pep Guardiola (who’s now with Manchester City).

Dortmund has also been under-performing this season. After finishing second in the Bundesliga last season (albeit a very distant second), they find themselves in fifth place.

But there is still hope for BVB. As it stands, they are the best attacking team in the league with 25 goals in only ten games. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, their star striker, is on fire right now. In last week’s 5-1 crushing of Hamburg SV, Aubameyang scored four goals.

It must come as some relief for Bayern that key defender Jerome Boateng is likely to be fit next weekend. The aging center-back is returning to form after a knee and hamstring injury.

Bayern will be looking to exploit Dortmund’s defense, which has conceded twelve goals in ten games this season. With Robert Lewandowski, Kingsley Coman, Thomas Muller, and Arjen Robben in attack, Bayern have an offense that far outweighs any other in the Bundesliga. On top of that, they have midfielders Franck Ribery and Douglas Costa, who are more than capable to add to the goal-scoring.

The game will follow a Champions League Group Stage fixture for both teams earlier in the week; Dortmund will take on Legia Warsaw, and Bayern will take on FC Rostov. Barring any injuries from those games, the schedule is unlikely to affect the outcome of the Bundesliga match.

The Dortmund crowd is notorious for its fierce support, and playing at home is known to give Dortmund an edge, but it may not be enough to overcome Bayern Munich.

Pick: Bayern Munich (+110)
