Creighton Bluejays Road Favorites vs Villanova

Following a run of eight-straight victories that had them competing for the Big East regular season crown, the Bluejays enter this matchup having lost two of their last three.

Prepare for an agitated Creighton squad after a questionable foul call in the final seconds against Marquette prevented the Bluejays from forcing the game into overtime.

Currently sporting a 12-5 conference record that has them in a three way tie for 2nd place, the Bluejays are ranked 19th in the nation and with odds of +2500, they’re a decent longshot bet in the odds to win March Madness.

It might be wise for the Bluejays to pound the ball inside to 7’1 center Ryan Kalkbrenner. He is the only player in the country to average at least 14 points per game and shoot 70% or better from the floor.

Villanova’s starting five will need to use a player at least five inches shorter to guard Kalkbrenner down low.

Injuries have played a huge role in Villanova’s huge drop off this season, but they are as healthy as they’ve ever been this campaign as they get ready for the Big East tournament. Another huge win on against Creighton will bolster their slim chances of being picked on selection Sunday.
