The Beavers, who are just 1-4 against top-100 teams, are massive 9.5-point home underdogs to Mark Few and company.

The Bulldogs have raced out to a 5-0 record in West Coast Conference play, but they have been at least 17.5-point chalk in all five of those games, and only covered the spread once during a 96-68 victory over Loyola Marymount. Gonzaga is now an ugly 7-11 against the number overall this season. That number is an even uglier 1-4 in road games (which includes “semi-road” games in New York against UConn, a 77-71 loss, and in Inglewood against UCLA, a 65-62 loss).
The only away game Gonzaga did cover was its first of the season, an 80-67 win at San Diego State as 11-point chalk.
Last time out, the Bulldogs beat Washington State 88-75 (home) led by 21 points and nine rebounds from leading scorer and rebounder Graham Ike (16.6 PPG, 7.4 RPG, 1.4 APG), who sits just outside the top ten in the latest Wooden Award odds.

The Beavers crushed Pacific (91-55 home) in their last game on Saturday to improve to 3-2 in WCC play. Junior forward Parsa Fallah (12.3 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 1.4 APG) had a game-high 25 points in the lopsided win, including a near-immaculate 13-of-14 performance from the stripe.
Leading scorer and rebounder Michael Rataj (16.6 PPG, 8.5 RPG, 2.5 APG) added 15 points, nine boards, and five assists as OSU opened on a 15-2 run and never looked back. The Beavers easily covered as 9.5-point home favorites, improving their stunningly good ATS record to 13-4 on the season.

While Oregon State doesn’t have a whole lot of quality wins on its resume, they are playing much better than expected. They entered the season rated just 143rd at KenPom and have already shot up to 71st. Their best victory was a 67-55 win over #56 UC Irvine in Corvallis on Dec. 14.

The Gonzaga vs Oregon State players props are not extensive. Only five players are listed, the top-three scorers for the Bulldogs and the top-two scorers for the Beavers.
Ike leads the point totals at 17.5 O/U, closely followed by Rataj at 16.5. Both big men have a rebound total of 7.5.
Gonzaga point guard Ryan Nembhard (11.4 PPG, 3.2 RPG, 9.4 APG) is the only player listed in the assist props with a massive 8.5 O/U. Nembhard is second in the nation in assists per game, just a fraction behind La. Tech’s Sean Newman Jr (9.5 APG).
Gonzaga vs Oregon State Prediction
Gonzaga simply should not be laying this many points on the road against a top-75 opponent. The individual pieces are there for the Bulldogs to crush a team like Oregon State, but Mark Few’s group hasn’t shown enough cohesion yet this season. There have been flashes, like their domination of Baylor (101-63 home) in the first game of the season. But those flashes have basically all come at the Kennel.
Oregon State’s only home loss so far this season was a highly respectable 78-75 setback to arch-rival Oregon, the #25 team in the country per KenPom. I expect them to keep things close tonight.
