Vanderbilt Commodores Betting Outlook

Last season, the Commodores won seven conference games, a mark they are one victory from equaling with a win over South Carolina on Tuesday. They are undefeated in three contests so far this month, including a one point win over number 10 Tennessee last week, a team that’s considered a contender in the odds to win March Madness.

While they are only 3-5 on the road this season, they own a 6-2 mark against the spread as visitors, including road covers in four of their last five.

In their last game, they defeated the Gators 88-80 in Gainesville, Florida. Liam Robbins showed out in that one, scoring a career high 32 points to go along with 10 boards and four blocks.

Tuesday is not Vanderbilt’s favorite day of the week to play, at last not so far this campaign. They are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five Tuesday games.

South Carolina Coming Off First Win in a Month

Finally, the Gamecocks snapped out of their funk in their last game, defeating Ole Miss 64-61 on Saturday. That victory snapped an eight game losing skid dating back to January 10th.

Although wins have been hard to come by, the Gamecocks have been able to keep things close in most of their recent games. They’re 4-1 against the spread in their last five in the college basketball odds..

Part of the reason they’ve been able to keep things tight lately is because of a more focused emphasis on defense. In their last four outings, South Carolina has allowed just 66.5 points per game. The under is 10-1 in the Gamecocks last 11 home games against a team with a losing road record.
