- The #2 Ohio State Buckeyes are 8-point home favorites over the #3 Michigan Wolverines in their college football game slated for Saturday, November 26
- In public betting trends, Michigan is drawing the edge in spread wagering
- However, Ohio State is garnering the major of the moneyline action in public betting splits
In Big Ten football circles, the annual clash between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines is known simply as “the game.”
In this year’s game, the public seems to be of the opinion that while the Buckeyes should win at home, the Wolverines are going to keep it close.
The public betting trends are showing that #2 Ohio State is prominent in the moneyline splits. However, spread action is going with #3 Michigan.
Oddsmakers have set the Buckeyes as 8-point home favorites. Although Ohio State is 8-1 straight up in the last nine games against Michigan, the Wolverines are 5-4 against the spread over that span.

The Wolverines vs Buckeyes public betting trends are slightly supporting the over on the total of 55.5 points as of early Friday afternoon. Splits on the handle are at 51%, while and bets are with the under a touch more at 53%..
Kickoff is at 12 pm ET at Ohio Stadium. Broadcast of the game is being carried by FOX.
Spread Bettors Going With Wolverines
The Wolverines are drawing 55% of handle at 57% of bets in the public spread splits. While Michigan hasn’t enjoyed much luck in recent years against Ohio State in regard to the final score, the Wolverines have been holding their own in terms of the point spread. Michigan did win and cover in last season’s game via a 42-27 victory. That ended an eight-game win streak by the Buckeyes over the Wolverines.
However, that triumph came at Michigan Stadium. When the venue is Ohio Stadium, the picture changes for the Maize and Blue. Michigan is 4-7 ATS in the last 11 games played there.

Ohio State quarterback CJ Stroud and Michigan running back Blake Corum are both top-3 contenders in the Heisman Trophy odds. However, Corum suffered a knee injury in last week’s win over Illinois, and the drop-off in performance by the Wolverines’ offense without him was palpable.
While Corum, who’s been responsible for 30.9% of Michigan’s total offense this season, insists he’ll be playing, Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh hasn’t really been forthcoming this week regarding the status of his star RB.
Certainly, Corum’s health is a vital component in assessing the spread for this game.
Play The Over In The Michigan vs Ohio State Total
While 55.5 points might seem like a lot of points in a rivalry game like this, history shows it isn’t. The Wolverines and Buckeyes went over the 64.5 total assigned to last year’s game.
In fact, the last eight Michigan vs Ohio State games have all gone over. Since 2000, the over in this tilt is 16-5.
This is the fourth time since 2010 that the total was 55.5 points or higher. The over is 2-1. The lone under came in the 2010 game at Ohio Stadium. The Buckeyes won 37-7 but the teams failed to exceed the 65-point total.
This season, though, Michigan is a dismal 2-8-1 on the total. Ohio State is 8-3 overall and 5-2 at home.
Straight Up, Buckeyes Are a Powerhouse
It’s Ohio State that is garnering 54% of handle and 60% of bets in public moneyline splits, so the public appears confident in a Buckeyes victory.
Both the Wolverines and Buckeyes are 11-0 SU this season. Ohio State (+210) and Michigan (+800) rank 2-3 in the National championship odds, so the importance of a victory in this game can’t be minimized if either school wants a crack at one of the four College Football Playoff spots.
Since 2000, Ohio State is 12-9 ATS and 17-4 SU vs. Michigan

The Buckeyes are 35-1 SU in their last 36 Big Ten games. The lone blemish was last year’s loss at Michigan. Ohio State hasn’t lost a Big Ten game at home since 2015. The Buckeyes are 30-0 SU in their last 30 Big Ten home games.
Michigan hasn’t won at Ohio State since 1999. Currently on a nine-game losing streak at Ohio Stadium, the Wolverines are 2-11 SU there since 1994.
Michigan is 23-2 SU in its last 25 games. The Wolverines are 10-1 SU in their last 11 road games.
