  • Game of Thrones accidentally left a coffee cup in Season 8, Episode 4
  • You can wager on if the show will make the same mistake again
  • What is the best bet?

Game of Thrones is one of the most heavily analyzed television series of all-time, so it’s no surprise that a massive blunder by the production staff in Season 8, episode 4 was quickly spotted.

The coffee cup, which appeared on the head table during a celebratory feast in Winterfell, caused an uproar on social media Monday, overshadowing an otherwise brilliant episode of television.

The odds of this happening again in either episode 5 or 6 are virtually impossible, given how much scrutiny every scene will now be subject to, but that doesn’t mean you can’t wager on it. You can also check out other Game of Thrones props and updated odds following episode 4.

Not surprisingly, “No” is a massive favorite, but if you feel like chasing a big pay day, this type of mistake has happened quite a few times in the past.

Previous Big Budget Production Blunders

In the 1995 blockbuster Braveheart, a car is visible despite the movie being set in the 13th century. Peter Jackson is best known for his cinematic masterpieces, but not even he could keep a car out of the first movie in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

More recently, Downton Abbey was humiliated by a water bottle that was left on top of a fireplace on one of its sets, but the cast was quick to have some fun with it.

This Won’t Happen Again

Game of Thrones has given its audience countless hours of extraordinary television, with more twists and turns than any other show in history. This is the first oversight of this kind in 71 episodes and you can confidently bet it will be the last.

Now is not the time to be agonizing over something that almost no one noticed in the moment, but rather preparing ourselves for what is sure to be two of the most memorable episodes of the series.
