Lightning Strikes Twice

One of Cooper’s biggest screen pairings in the past was his on screen chemistry with Jennifer Lawrence in 2012’s Silver Linings Playbook. After the undeniable spark between the two in the film, many wondered if the two would reprise sharing the spotlight.

Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence went on to co-star in three additional films following the success of Silver Linings Playbook.

They did, in fact, multiple times. The two went on to co-star in three additional films, most notably the crime drama American Hustle. It seemed easy for Hollywood to push forward films with Cooper and Lawrence given how much money their premiere debut made.

Given that it seemed so easy for Hollywood to bring back Cooper and Lawrence on screen together so quickly, could the same be for Cooper and Lady Gaga?

A Star is Busy

Keep in mind that Lady Gaga is, at this point, primarily a music star. Yes, she wowed television audiences for her work in American Horror Story, even winning a Golden Globe for her performance, but her heart belongs on stage.

Gaga even recently began a series of Las Vegas residency dates, committing to performances at MGM’s Park Theatre sporatically throughout this November. To quote her own single “Telephone”, she’s “K-kinda busy”.

Cooper appears to be extremely busy over the next little while as well. In between ongoing voice work as Rocket Raccoon for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy mixed media, Cooper is also attached to the upcoming Avengers film Avengers: Endgame, which is currently in post production.

Keep in mind that Lady Gaga is, at this point, primarily a music star. Her heart belongs on stage.

On top of this, he’s attached to two more films that are being pushed, Atlantic Wall, and in the title role of Leonard Bernstein in Bernstein. The latter is similar to A Star is Born in that Cooper is writing and directing, but so far Gaga is not attached to appear in this one.
