Odds as of June 9th.

Jokisch is Just too Good

Back on May 12th, Jokisch held the Lions lineup to just three hits and no earned runs over 6 innings en route to a 3-2 win. The Heroes’ ace has allowed six earned runs total in 2020 and has held the opposition scoreless in half of his six starts.

He ranks top-two in ERA, WHIP, quality starts and wins, and has posted a victory in five straight outings. That trend is likely to continue Wednesday, given Samsung’s recent struggles.

The Lions have lost four of five, scoring just 11 runs in the process. They’ll send Jung Hyun Baek to the mound, who’s sporting a 10.29 ERA and is fresh off surrendering 14 hits and 11 runs in a loss to LG.

Pick: Kiwoom Heroes -1.5 (-148)

NC is Dino-mite

Tuesday’s clash between the KBO’s top-two teams was a major disappointment. By the 4th inning, NC had already put up 10 runs versus Doosan and cruised from there to a 12-8 victory.

The win extend the Dinos unbeaten streak to six and now they’ll send one of the KBO’s top arms to the hill against the defending champs.

Drew Rucinski is off to a 4-0 start in 2020 and like Jokisch, has held his opponents scoreless in half of his six starts. He’s given up just two earned runs total in his last three outings and ranks top-five in wins, ERA, strikeouts and quality starts.

The Bears meanwhile, will counter with Raul Alcantara who’s fresh off a dismal outing versus KT Wiz. The 27-year-old gave up five runs in 5 innings and will have his hands full with an NC lineup that ranks first in average, hits, runs and home runs. They’ve scored at least eight times in six straight and have produced double-digit runs in five of their last eight games.

Pick: NC Dinos -1.5 (-125)

Can’t Stop Now

If you thought we were going to go a whole day without betting against Hanwha than you haven’t been paying attention. Not even a roster shakeup could end the Eagles’ woes, as they dropped their 15th straight on Tuesday, falling behind 8-0 by the 6th inning.

It’s not just that they’re losing, it’s that they’re getting blown out in the process. They’ve lost four straight by at least six runs, and only one of their past 15 defeats has been by less than three runs (6-4 to SK last week).

Considering all of that, you’d think they’d be a heavier underdog versus Lotte on Wednesday, but you can get the Giants -1.5 for -105. Yes, Lotte starter Kyung Eun Noh has been shaky this season, but he did hold Hanwha to just one run over 6 innings three weeks ago.

Pick: Lotte Giants -1.5 (-105)
