Keep Playing the Under in KIA Tigers Games

We’ve regurgitated over and over again how weak the SK bats are, but let’s not pretend KIA is an offensive juggernaut. The Tigers are averaging just 4.8 runs per game and the under has hit in each of their last three contests.

Now they’ll face Wyverns lefty Kim Tae Hoon, who has been one the KBO’s standout pitchers so far this season. The 30-year-old has allowed just two runs in 13 innings of work, and is fresh off 7.0 innings of shutout ball against the KBO’s top team (NC Dinos) last time out.

KIA will counter with former Oakland A’s hurler Aaron Brooks who has been nearly as sharp. The right-hander has allowed just a single run in two of his three starts, and should face little resistance from the SK lineup.

Pick: Under 8.5 (-115)

The Bears Win Big

Doosan is known for its scoring prowess which often leads to lopsided victories. That was the case again Friday, as the Bears put up 12 more runs in a blowout win versus Samsung.

Doosan has now scored at least seven runs in seven of its 15 games this season and its average margin of victory is 3.9 runs. Samsung meanwhile has been dreadful lately, losing six of seven and posting a -30 run differential in the process.

With the Lions starting rotation in shambles, they’ll turn to reliever Kim Dae-Woo to start this game and most don’t expect a long outing. That will put even more pressure on a bullpen that surrendered 9 runs on Friday. This has all the makings of another Bears blowout win.

Pick: Doosan Bears -1.5 (-150)

Unders Are Dominating Dinos Contests

An NC Dinos loss was the only blemish on our resume yesterday, but the game played out similarly to how we expected. It was yet another low-scoring affair featuring the Dinos, which marked the seventh time the under has hit in their last nine outings.

We detailed the Hanwha Eagles’ offensive struggles yesterday, and Saturday’s matchup projects to be quite daunting. The Eagles will have to face Dinos Opening Day starter Drew Rucinski, who has allowed two runs or fewer in two of three starts this season.

Hanwha will counter with Min Woo Kim who has allowed just one run and three hits total over his last 14.0 innings. With two quality arms on the hill, offense will be tough to come by again.

Pick: Under 9.0 (-105)
