White Sox vs Tigers Betting Outlook

Yoan Moncada hit a tiebreaking single in a two-run 11th inning as the White Sox slipped past the Tigers on Saturday night.

Moncada finished with two hits. AJ Pollock drove in two runs for the White Sox and is hitting .373 against the Tigers this season in 51 at-bats.

Eloy Jimenez added a sacrifice fly in the 11th to put the White Sox up 4-2. That run proved important when the Tigers closed to 4-3 on Baez’s pinch-hit RBI single in the bottom half before Chicago held on.

White Sox center field Luis Robert returned to the lineup after not starting the previous two games because of a hand injury. He went 0 for 4 with a strikeout.

Baez, the Tigers’ shortstop, was a late scratch from the starting lineup with right knee soreness. He could serve as the designated hitter Sunday.

The White Sox are 11-4 against the Tigers this season, including winning six of eight in Detroit. The White Sox also hold a commanding 44-18 advantage in the series since 2019.

White Sox vs Tigers Prediction

Neither starting pitcher inspires much confidence in this game nor does either team. But since we’re required to, go with a White Sox team that should be playing with a certain amount of desperation.

Pick: Chicago White Sox (-160)
