How Does FanDuel Dinger Tuesday Work?

First things first, head to FanDuel Sportsbook and create an account if you’re not already signed up. If you already have an account don’t worry, this isn’t just a promo for new customers; it’s open to all FanDuel Sportsbook users each Tuesday during the MLB season.

Once you have an account, opt-in to the Dinger Tuesday promo via FanDuel Sportsbook’s “Promos” page. (Second from the top in the left-hand menu.) Then place a minimum $25 wager on any player to hit a home run on Tuesday, May 10.

For every ball that leaves the yard in that game, regardless of which team slugs it, you’ll receive $5 in free bets from FanDuel Sportsbook. If the player you bet on hits a homer as well, you will also win your qualifying wager.

So, if there are five home runs in the game you will come out roughly even regardless of whether the player you picked hits a home run or not.

However, let’s be honest, five homers in a game is extremely rare so in order to make this a long term winning wager, you’re going to need to target only the most favorable matchups.

Home Run Best Bet for May 10

On that note, if you’re looking for a pitcher to pick on today look no further than Cincinnati’s Hunter Greene. The 22-year-old has coughed up 10 home runs through five starts, two more than anyone else in baseball.

He’ll face the NL Central leading Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday, who rank first in the NL in home runs. The last time Greene faced the Brewers they took him deep five times in just 2.2 innings, including a 434 foot bomb by Christian Yelich.

After a slow start to the season, Yelich has turned it on lately cranking three homers in his past nine games entering play on Monday. He also tagged Green for an extra base hit in that game and is slugging .519 in May, compared to just .405 in April.

Green has issued a .325 average and a .650 slugging percentage to lefties so far this season, and I like the former MVP’s chances of taking him deep today.

Pick: Christian Yelich Home Run (+390)
