In 10 career games (nine starts) against the Astros, Carrasco has a 4-4 record and 3.66 ERA. He is 2-3 with a 2.06 ERA in five starts at Minute Maid Park.

Carrasco is 3-2 with a 5.18 ERA in six road starts this season. In the daytime, he is 4-1 with a 3.22 ERA in eight starts.

Garcia ended a five-start winless streak last Wednesday against the Texas Rangers in Arlington. He allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits in six innings while striking out nine and walking none.

This will be Garcia’s first career appearance against the Mets.

Garcia is 2-2 with a 5.14 ERA at home this year in five starts. In six starts in day game, he has a 2-2 record and a 2.75 ERA.

Astros shortstop Aledmys Diaz (left shoulder discomfort), who has been filling for injured rookie Jeremy Pena, is questionable after sitting two straight games.

Alvarez (sore right hand) returned to the lineup after missing one game.
