Odds as of April 30th

Chris Paul Has Been a Hot Three-Point Shooter

One thing that has been noticeable lately is the fact that Chris Paul is shooting the three-ball like a man possessed. Over the last five games, he has taken at least seven attempts from deep in three of them. But when you can drain them at will, who is going to question you?

Not only has Paul been taking a lot of threes, he’s also been hitting them. In each of his last six games, he has connected on at least two long range attempts. Not to take anything away from Paul, but two made threes really isn’t a lot when you are shooting almost six per game.

Players have to be on the floor to accrue statistics and Paul should see 30+ minutes tonight as the Suns are favored by five points in this one. The last time these teams met they went to overtime and Paul played 42 minutes. While that would be great tonight, it’s not necessary for Paul to reach his three-pointers made prop.

  • The Pick: Paul OVER 1.5 Three-Pointers Made (+110)

Bogdanovic Lets it Fly

No team in the NBA shoots more threes on a per game basis than the Utah Jazz. It’s what they do. At 43.5 attempts per game, they are one of only three teams that average over 40. Not only do they take a lot, they also hit them as they are third in three-point percentage in the NBA. One reason why, is Bojan Bogdanovic.

The Jazz will once again be without the services of Mike Conley and Donovan Mitchell tonight. In their absence, the Jazz will need someone to drain some threes and that someone looks like it will be Bogdanovic. In his last four games, he has hit at least three trays in two of them and will likely see volume tonight.

The Suns do a lot of things well, but defending the three-point line is not one of them. Over the last three games, only three teams have been worse in opponent three-point percentage than Phoenix. They have allowed teams to connect at a 42% clip and if that continues tonight, Bogdanovic will cash this prop easily.

  • The Pick: Bogdanovic OVER 2.5 Three-Pointers Made (+116)
