Perhaps nothing gets the juices flowing in a ho-hum NBA regular-season game in February than a Finals rematch.

That’s what we’re in store for Thursday, as the Milwaukee Bucks visit the Phoenix Suns.

Both teams are surging as we close in on the All-Star break: the Bucks have reeled off four straight, and sit in second in the East. Phoenix, meanwhile, is a league-best 44-10, and have piled up 14 wins in their last 15 outings.

The home side is a 3.5-point favorite when things tip off at 10pm ET at the Footprint Center. The game can be seen live on TNT.

Milwaukee Bucks Betting Analysis

The Bucks have been on a West Coast demolition, wrapping up their 4-game trek in the Desert. They hung 131 in a 15-point drubbing of the Lakers last time out, and that’s their lowest scoring output so far on the trip.

Milwaukee is averaging 135 points per game during this run, and winning by an average of nearly 23 points.

Giannis Antetokounmpo put on a wrecking-ball master class against the Lakers, pouring in a game-high 44 points on 17-of-20 shooting. He didn’t miss a shot until late in the third quarter, and by then Milwaukee had extended their lead to 30. He also added 14 boards, eight assists and two blocks.

Bobby Portis and Khris Middleton both went for 20+, as the Bucks shot a blistering 54.2% from the field, including a 41.7% mark from deep.

A top-10 unit defending the three, Milwaukee held the Lakers to just 10-for-32 from downtown, a paltry 31.3% clip.

The Bucks are mostly healthy, with Grayson Allen (hip) a game-time decision. George Hill (neck) should be back soon, while Brook Lopez (back) is out for an extended period.

Phoenix Suns Betting Analysis

It seems like whatever you throw at the Suns, they continue to just take it and turn it into W’s.

Thursday’s game will wrap up a grueling three-game-in-four-nights odyssey against teams with 2022 NBA Championship aspirations.

On Monday, they withstood DeMar DeRozan’s 38-point bomb to hold off the Bulls 127-124. The next night, they rallied from a 14-point second-half deficit to upend the Philadelphia 76ers 114-109, despite 34 from Joel Embiid.

The matchup with Milwaukee will be the third straight game they’ll be squaring off vs one of the top candidates for 2022 NBA MVP.

Against Philly, it was their all-NBA backcourt that lifted them to victory. Devin Booker scored 35 points and Chris Paul had 16 points and 12 assists. After an earlier 18-game win streak this season, the Suns are still streaking, having lost just two of 19 games since the new year.

On the injury front, the Suns are still thin in the backcourt behind Booker and CP3. Cam Payne (wrist), Landry Shamet (ankle) and Abdel Nader (knee) are all out Thursday.

Bucks vs Suns Pick

This is the first matchup between these teams in this building since a pivotal Game 5 Bucks win in the Finals. That game is crystalized by a Jrue Holiday steal off Booker and iconic lob to Giannis on the other end.

Milwaukee would go on to win that game, and wrap up the title in Game 6 back in Milwaukee.

Both teams play at a top-10 pace in the league. Phoenix is the only club in the NBA, however, that ranks top-10 in both offensive and defensive rating. Milwaukee’s no slouch. They’re fifth in offensive rating, and 10th in defensive rating.

Phoenix has won five of the past six regular-season meetings against the Bucks, but they are just 13-14 against the spread at home. The Bucks are 15-13 ATS on the road this season.

The Suns are 22-5 at home on the year, only the Golden State Warriors (25-4) have a better home record. At 16-12 on the road, Milwaukee is tied for the fourth-most wins away from home.

Giannis is the difference maker here. He’s second in the league in scoring and playing at a clip no one can currently match. Look for him to complete a perfect road trip with a dominating performance to lead his team to victory.

The pick: Bucks ML (+135)
