The Milwaukee Bucks will be looking to take a 2-0 stranglehold on their first-round series with the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night as they battle it out in Game 2. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:30 PM ET at Fiserv Forum.

The Bucks managed to pull out a 93-86 win on Sunday thanks to a massive night from Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bulls made a bit of a comeback, but their star duo of DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine failed to hit shots. It will be interesting to see how they respond here before heading back to the Windy City.

Chicago Bulls Betting Outlook

Chicago went down early in Game 1 but managed to make a comeback in the second half, even taking the lead at one point. To be honest, this was a dreadful offensive performance from Billy Donovan’s squad. The Bulls shot a season-worst 32% from the field and just 19% from three-point land, despite getting a lot of clean looks.

Nikola Vucevic led the team with 24 points and 17 rebounds, but even he missed numerous clear-cut chances around the hoop. DeRozan and LaVine meanwhile combined for a mere 36 points, also shooting well under 30% from the field and deep. While the Bucks did bring it defensively, absolutely nothing was landing for Chicago.

DeRozan is usually a mid-range assassin but only managed to hit six field goals.

The fourth quarter was truly their worst period as well, going 6-for-28 overall and a putrid 1-for-12 from beyond the arc. Maybe there were some playoff jitters but there is no doubt the Bulls must be a lot more efficient. It’s unlikely DeMar struggles to that extent again, but the question is, will LaVine deliver? If they both show out, Chicago will be in a good position to stay competitive on Wednesday.

Milwaukee Bucks Betting Outlook

Milwaukee can usually rely on their Big 3 of Giannis, Jrue Holiday, and Khris Middleton to lead by example and get it done. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case in Game 1. It was truly the Greek Freak who carried the defending champions, posting 27 points and 16 rebounds. The other two combined for just 26 points in total.

Evident by the scoreline, this was not an offensive clinic from either team. The Bucks were poor from three-point territory, shooting 26% and only 40% from the field. The turnovers were far too frequent as well, committing 21. Luckily, the Bulls didn’t capitalize much, but Milwaukee has to take much better care of the basketball. It was honestly a grind-it-out victory with few positive takeaways.

However, despite not exactly lighting up the scoresheet, the Bucks did show up and play championship-caliber defense. Rightfully so as they’re currently second in the NBA Championship odds. Even when they’re struggling to get it going on the other end, Mike Budenholzer’s group can always rely on their ability to slow down the opponent, which is huge.

That being said, if the Big 3 all thrive on Wednesday and Milwaukee is stout defensively, they should have no problems putting themselves in a prime position before heading back to Chi-Town.

Bulls vs Bucks Prediction

Honestly, this is a tough prediction after both teams struggled immensely to shoot the basketball. However, I like the value of the visitors’ ATS here. As a 10-point or more underdog this season, the Bulls covered both times. I won’t say Chicago will come out on top, but they should keep it close. Expect DeRozan and LaVine to be a mile better.

Pick: Bulls ATS +10 (-110)
