Odds as of June 3rd

Chris Paul Dime Time

The Phoenix Suns have the Los Angeles Lakers on the brink of elimination. Up 3-2 in the series, tonight could be the night the Suns put an end to the madness.

While everyone is questioning whether Anthony Davis will be in action, bettors should be wondering about Chris Paul. How bad is his shoulder?

Most of us aren’t doctors – and none of us are Chris Paul – so it’s almost impossible to tell how bad he is hurt. One thing that should be noted, after going down, he stayed in and hit both free throws before leaving for the game.

Score no doubt played a role in his staying on the bench as the Suns were up by 34 points at the time of his departure.

One would expect the Lakers to play a little better tonight and at least keep this competitive. It’s tough to say if Anthony Davis will be out there, but if he is, it bodes well for Paul backers.

If it’s competitive, I expect Paul to play 30+ minutes. He’s played more than 30 minutes against the Lakers five times this season. He recorded at least nine assists in four of those games. We’re getting +112 on him to do it again tonight and I think he comes through.

  • The Pick: Paul OVER 8.5 Assists (+112)

Dame Time

The Portland Trail Blazers could see their season come to an end tonight. They’re down 3-2 to the Denver Nuggets and seem to be outmatched. One thing is for sure, no matter what else happens tonight, Damian Lillard will have something to say about Portland’s fate. Just look at what he did in Game 4.

FanDuel has different ways to get in on player props and one that gives the bettor an advantage is the “to score x-amount of points” prop. If bettors think a player will go over his point prop by more than a few points, they can opt to bet that notion at plus money. It’s a game changer.

I like Lillard to go over 33.5 points tonight but at -122, it’s not as appealing. In my opinion, 35+ at +102 is much better.

Lillard has gone over 35 points in three of the five games in this series and one of the times he failed was when he scored 34 points. In an elimination game, Lillard can be expected to be as aggressive as ever. I like him to score more than 35 points tonight, especially at +102 odds.

  • The Pick: Lillard to record 35+ Points (+102)
