The Lakers saw in immediate boost in their NBA Championship odds after the mega-deal that brought Doncic to LA in exchange for Anthony Davis, moving all the way from +4000 to +2000. In the last week, they’ve improved even further, now as short as +1200.

They’ve been better at home recently, though. In their last three home games, they own wins over Orlando (113-99) and Golden State (131-128) and a one-point loss to Indiana (112-111).

The Jazz, the fourth-best rebounding team in the league (51.7 REB%), should have an obvious advantage on the glass. I said that last game, and it didn’t really play out that way, but Los Angeles is just 24th in rebounding (49.0%) and most of that stems from a time when Anthony Davis – the NBA’s sixth-leading rebounder – was on the floor.
