  • Four NBA games are on the Tuesday night schedule
  • Kevin Durant, Ja Morant, Devin Booker and Cade Cunningham all take to the hardwood
  • Read below for the latest NBA player props and best bets

It’s a relatively quiet Tuesday in the NBA with just four games after a wild Monday night. Still, there’s plenty to get stuck into with the plucky Magic hosting the Brooklyn Nets at 7:10pm ET. Tyrese Haliburton leads the Pacers against Ja Morant and the Grizzlies at the same time.

Just half an hour later, first overall pick Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons get underway against the East-leading Miami Heat. The night’s action is closed out with the Phoenix Suns, owners of the best record in the NBA, in Louisiana to take on the Pelicans. Playing stellar basketball despite Chris Paul’s absence, the Suns are favored by a few points.

Wendell Carter’s Impact on the Glass

Wendell Carter has enjoyed a strong season with the Magic. He’s begun to look like the player that the Bulls hoped they had drafted. Carter is fifth in rebounding since the All-Star break, and scoring 19.1 points per game. He’s a big reason Orlando is eighth in rebounding rate over the last 10.

The former Duke big man faces a Nets team which remains bottom 10 in rebounding rate despite adding Andre Drummond at the trade deadline. Brooklyn is likely to run some smaller lineups, providing Carter with plenty of rebounding opportunities, and even if Nic Claxton plays the majority of non-Drummond minutes, Carter should be a force on the glass. Claxton’s 14.1% rebounding rate is so-so for a center – it’s the same mark as Kyle Kuzma and Al Horford.

Carter’s rebounds line is set at 10.5 here, and at plus odds. He’s recorded 11 or more boards in seven of his last 10 appearances, and has a knack for being a nuisance on the offensive glass. Brooklyn is bottom six in defensive rebounding percentage.

Both Carter’s track record and the matchup suggest a big night on the boards from the former Bull. We can’t turn down this over at +110.

  • Pick: Wendell Carter over 10.5 rebounds (+110)

Rolling with Bam for a Big Night

Bam Adebayo has recorded 30 or more points and rebounds in nine of his last 14, including in each of the last two. Adebayo is 10th in rebounding since the All-Star break and scoring over 20 points per game.

Detroit has gone 5-5 over its last 10, but it is still a below-average defensive team. They are dead last in defensive rebounding rate over that span, and give up the seventh-most rebounds per game for the season. Ivica Zubac dropped 14 and 15 in the Pistons’ last outing. Marvin Bagley has shown some flashes since the trade, but he’s still brutally overmatched against the league’s best big men.

Adebayo has been playing at a really high level since returning from injury. He’s being aggressive on offense and making life difficult for opposing bigs while he shortens in the Defensive Player of the Year odds.

With three 30-point games since February 26th, Adebayo could hit this in points alone. Even if the shot isn’t falling, he’s been so effective on the glass that he can cash this over easily.

  • Pick: Bam Adebayo over 29.5 points and rebounds (-115)
