Oral Roberts isn’t really going to do this again, right? They can’t – or can they?

OK, we get it if you’re a little bit spooked about wagering for or against the 15th-seeded Golden Eagles in their matchup Saturday against #3 Arkansas. So here’s our solution: player and prop bets!

Let’s look at a handful of props in the tables below, and then we’ll pick out a few of our favorites.

Abmas a Successful Volume Shooter From Deep

Max Abmas has been one of college basketball’s newfound stars this season, even if some people still aren’t sure how to pronounce his last name (it’s “Ace-mas,” by the way). He has been on the court for all 85 minutes of Oral Roberts’ game action so far, making the most of it with 55 combined points in that span.

His three-point shooting has been so-so: A blistering 5-of-10 performance against Ohio State, followed by just 2-of-7 shooting against Florida. So at the current line of 2.5 three-point makes, he’d be 1-1.

We like Abmas to add another notch in the over column on Saturday, though, and here’s why: He’s a 43.1% three-point shooter this season, and he shoots a ton of threes.

Abmas has played in 22 games since Dec. 16. And on 22 occasions, he has hoisted at least six three-point tries. He has made three or more threes in 13 of those games (59.1%). Pretty solid.

We know he’ll need to be on if Oral Roberts is going to have a chance. So at the very least, he’s going to try to hit that over for you!

  • Pick: Max Abmas Over 2.5 threes (-145)

Moody Not In the Mood to Pass

At tournament time, Moses Moody is a shooter, not a passer. In four do-or-die games (two in the SEC tournament, two in the NCAA tournament), Moody has combined for just two assists.

Meanwhile, he’s averaging over 10 shots per game. Shooters shoot, I guess. And in Moody’s case, they don’t pass.

There are other Arkansas creators, such as Jalen Tate, to facilitate ball movement. Moody is on the floor to score, which is why we like the under on his already low assist prop.

  • Pick: Moses Moody Under 1.5 assists (-112)

Oral Roberts vs Arkansas Team Props

Team First Half Money Line First Half Point Spread Total Points
Oral Roberts +245 +6 (-110) 73.5 (O -116| U -106)
Arkansas -300 -6 (-110) 85.5 (O -106 | U -116)

Will Razorbacks Suffer Another Slow Start?

Arkansas needed a 19-0 run at the end of the first half to take a two-point halftime lead against Colgate, and the Razorbacks only mustered a two-point lead against Texas Tech in the following round.

We think the Razorbacks are primed for another substandard first half — before eventually making the appropriate adjustments to come out on top.

The first half money line is really enticing for Oral Roberts when you look at the value it brings, but, we’re going to play it safer and give the Golden Eagles the six-point spread. That feels like a winner.

  • Pick: Oral Roberts first half +6 (-110)
