Texas Tech Betting Trends

Senior forward Kevin Obanor has led the way in the early part of the season for Texas Tech. That is not surprising as he is the only one of the Red Raiders’ top nine scorers from last season who returned for the 2022-23 season.

Obanor is averaging 12.3 points and 6.3 rebounds a game. He led the way with 15 points and eight boards in the win over Louisiana Tech.

Back in the Big 12 after a year in the Pac-12, senior guard De’Vion Harmon is stuffing the stat sheet with averages of 11.3 points, 4.3 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 steals. Against Louisiana Tech, he had 15 points, six assists, four rebounds and two steals.

Harmon transferred to Texas Tech after playing for Oregon last season. He began his college career with two seasons at Oklahoma.

Sophomore forward Daniel Batcho is Texas Tech’s top rebounder with 7.0 a game. He has a 9.3 scoring average.

Freshman guard Pop Isaacs contributed 10 points and four assists Monday when the Red Raiders shot 50.0% (23 of 46) to offset 20 turnovers. They held Louisiana Tech to 37.7% (20 of 53) shooting overall and 6 of 24 (25.0%) from three-point range.

Creighton Betting Trends

A year after emerging as one of the nation’s top big men, junior center Ryan Kalkbrenner is leading Creighton with 16.5 points and 6.8 rebounds a game. In the win over UC Riverside, he finished with 12 points and eight rebounds while making five of six shots from the field.

The Bluejays shot 52.5% (52.5) while limiting UC Riverside to 35.5% (22 of 62), including 15.8% (3 of 19) from distance. Kalkbrenner helped Creighton to a 42-31 rebounding advantage.

Senior guard Baylor Scheierman, a transfer from South Dakota State, knocked down 7 of 10 shots on his way to 17 points and six rebounds. He has made an immediate impact with Creighton with averages of 10.5 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.0 steals.
